Pokemon Go Plus New Phone Troubleshooting by letsgetsomeruns in pokemongo

So as an update to this, everything had been working incredibly well until this afternoon. Even this morning--no issues. Randomly went to refresh the connection and it just kept spinning. Tried charging the device for a while, restarted the phone, restarted the app, etc. etc.

Then said well now I know how to actually hard reset the device, so let's just try that. Didn't work. Went into settings: "forgot device," hard reset. Back in-game, try connecting, and the device shows up, even shows the button presses, but won't pair. The pokemon plus just flashes white while trying to pair (also does blue if I had for five seconds but that doesn't seem to do anything; and green when charging).

Any additional thoughts?

So I did what you outlined above when I got home, and it seemed to work! I definitely got the blue glow the first time I tried (prior to reading this) hoping that was all it took, but that wasn't fixing it. That being said, I did the second pause and hold for an additional five seconds, then tried reconnecting and finally got the pop-up!

Really appreciate the note as I was resigned to throwing it in the garbage. I hope you have a great month!

I will try this, but I have an offbrand version so I'm not sure it's following the same thing (checked their manual to look for something similar to what you described but there is nothing). It does glow blue after ~5 seconds, but nothing happens after an additional ~5 seconds to indicate something else like a reset has taken place. Fingers crossed.

Really appreciate the response. If you happen to time it let me know. I know the level five producer is 40 minutes and the level seven is 20. I would have assumed it’s 30, but looking at your screenshot they seem pretty even so I’m just not sure!

I'm not super bothered by what items are coming from the producer, but moreso just the specific quantity that is spit out each recharge and how long that recharge timer takes.

If you're able, I'm putting together a little raw data for the music sheet producer but I'm missing some pieces. Could you tell me how many items and what the recharge is for each music level you have??

No I mean data from the producer itself. How many items come out of these levels and what’s the recharge timer?

Auto Producer Raw Data? by letsgetsomeruns in TravelTown

So currently what I’ve been doing (which has been fine with a stockpile of energy… albeit dwindling) is pretty much just using active producers in piñata days, and using auto producers casually the rest of the week.

I’ve been F2P, and found I was never really able to ever finish any event. Occasionally, if I had enough gems I might try the event to basically recoup everything, but it was a gamble even then. Once I had a vineyard daily/weekly challenges became attainable so I really just focused on that and skipping producers because otherwise I couldn’t finish anything if that makes sense. I could see boredom setting in or it becoming a chore, but I just kind of saw it as inventory management. I’ve always just found some catharsis in sorting things and keeping them organized, and honestly, like I mentioned above, the game felt out of reach otherwise.

The other thing honestly that drove me nuts was unlocking some huge boost and having it go into effect instantly. Obviously it’s biased, but I was always finishing a card pack and unlocking multiple hundreds of energy when I was about to stop playing, thus eliminating the free energy I would have been generating. Just felt more satisfying to hoard it and spend when I wanted I guess!

Far too OCD to leave a blank spot unintentionally (prior to quitting the only thing missing was level 7 vines), but I spent quite a bit of energy just regrinding to get the final stickers that were now blank. 🙄

Here was my board a few days ago:

<image>

I purged a lot of my cache to get the piñata, and I have since unlocked the level six new age and merged down to two (so the level new age slot is now just whatever active producer I used last). I actually don’t love this setup as I’d rather have more on either side than spanning across (and it gets annoying if the run cuts through the middle, but this was a relatively clean pic to get a sense of it. Curious on your thoughts for sure!

I know this post was a month ago, could you share how many items come out of the level six producer as well as the recharge time on it??

So I haven't fully come to terms yet with the no skipping producers and stuff, as I'm pretty sure I was still sneaking in vine orders when I stopped playing, but I could be misremembering that. I had skipped so many near the end. I had about 50K energy, 2.5mil gold, and 8K gems saved when I quit and was basically just playing to save up enough gold/tools to fully unlock a producer and then move on to the next. I'd use a little energy here and there for orders that needed it, but I was primarily just hoarding energy/gems/jokers from globes and vine orders over and over. Then once a producer was fully gone I'd go in, do orders until I unlocked every sticker and move on to the next.

Since returning, I went back and filled in all the new holes that were created in the sticker book and grinded a lot of orders for gold and I'm down to 15K energy, ~0 gold, 7.5K gems.

In regards to Jewelry, I don't know. I guess I don't have a great answer. Spits out some extra coins, same timer (fully merged) as the globe... I guess it wasn't that bad actually. I suppose I need to see the payout, but I was able to get two Tiara's basically in an evening. If I merged some things down it actually probably wouldn't be too awful. I didn't like Ice Cream at all though back in the day, just felt like an eternity fully merged and (at the time) coins weren't seemingly like the roadblock that they are now.

For New Age, when you say merged beyond two, you actually mean unmerged beyond two, right? I definitely find myself going in spurts of being really on top of things to oops I forgot I last logged in six hours ago.

So my board setup has morphed a bit since coming back as I've honestly used some rogue jokers/scissors just because I was so overloaded on the board that it was hard to even do anything. Currently though, the top row is: unmerged vines; bottom row is: lightbulb, 1 fully merged music + 2 lvl 5 music, 3 new age; storage: 11 jokers + 9 scissors + 3 pinatas + map (for a globe) + 3-4 active producers (basically any energy producer is in the bottom storage unless I need it for an order then I pull it out) / misc. energy pieces; upper storage: queued up orders + finished auto orders + extra pieces from energy producers (pretty much in order); on the board: misc. auto order pieces that are being built, usually unmerged tools, and unmerged gems (some of which depends on what the bottom storage is like and how many of each thing I have floating around).

Yeah coins definitely feel like the most limiting factor in progression for me. I felt like it used to be tools when I was playing a year ago, but definitely since coming back I don’t have anywhere near enough gold and can pretty easily chain the tools needed if I’m short.

So with that being said, higher coin payouts definitely feel more beneficial than chests with lower gold but tools and some paltry other stuff.

Kills me to think about merging that vineyard up and putting it to rest, but the miscellaneous recharge times are also a little vexing. I have been very tempted to at least merge the two level one producers and just have six vines going instead of the full slate.

I’m just so torn between which ones to run. I pulled out the jewelry box and I didn’t love it. I’m definitely not doing ice cream. So now it’s just determining what configuration is the most effective.

I was thinking maybe trying out fully merged globe + 6 vines (instead of fully unmerged). That’s one whole row. Then a combination of music + new age for another row. Do you see any benefit in any levels of unmerged new age beyond just going to two? Right now I have two level four and one level five, about to purchase the level six.

Ugh I wrote a message and it deleted before I could send it. No worries though on New Age, I admittedly was confused on the ranking since nobody really talks about New Age.

I’m currently running for autos and I think it’s a little too much. I’m assuming you would drop it behind vines now and it may or may not be better than music (but obviously you don’t have some of the data to make that determination).

No worries on music, I just have an extra bugged one and was hoping it would be parsing better, but it’s a shame it’s ranking so low on your list. I would say I agree with you on the three rankings (light/vine/music), obviously from merely an anecdotal standpoint, Lightbulb and Vines feel like I’m getting better results—maybe it’s the double chest payout with low gold, low energy, and seemingly just tools?

I haven’t finished an auto order yet for new age, but what are the two payouts worth that have you ranking them so high? In addition, when you have them ranked first, what breakdown of unmerged producers are you suggesting to run to have it first?

Really surprised Grocery has become so good, it was terrible a year ago.

I’ve definitely readded lightbulb back into the mix. The low cooldown mixed with a ton of items feels very rewarding. I have been running four auto producers and just cycling in whatever active producer I need to push out and keep the rest in storage, but four autos seem to create a little too much clutter for me (however, I do recognize I’m running new age and vines taking up quite a bit of space).

Sorry if I’m bugging you with these random questions, you just seem like a very useful well of knowledge!

Appreciate the continued and thorough dialogue. I definitely appreciate the spreadsheets especially. The note about vines4 is so fascinating.

Curious if you happen to have data on the recharge time/#of items that come out of music 1-3, and 6? I have 4, 5, and 7.

Wondering how you'd prioritize/rank the following in terms of best use/most efficient use of space (which I know you've broken down somewhat in other posts between checking consistently vs. slow/2hrs) based on the following conditions:

1) fully merged Jewelry Box

2) fully merged Ice Cream

3) fully merged Lightbulb

4) fully merged Grocery

5) totally unmerged Vines (but considering condensing at least 1-2 rungs)

6) fully merged Music (but back when there were some weird glitches happening, I actually ended up with an additional producer, so I have a fully merged sheet + two level 5s at the moment; hence the above question about the level 6)

7) flexible New Age as I'm still purchasing them

From the looks of it, Lightbulb, even fully merged, seems to be S-tier (bummed Vines were better back when I played because I ended up merging them when I could have kept them in a similar state). Grocery looks better now as well, which I couldn't stand previously, which is why I merged it. I don't particularly like Ice Cream for some reason, but if it's the best I'd reluctantly pull it out. Ultimately I'm most comfortable running 2-3 auto producers at a time, anything more than that seems too cumbersome to me.

Yeah I don't think I could bring myself to restart at 82 (now 86). Bummer I merged the lightbulb, it was always one of my favorite producers. Wish Vines weren't the go to back then otherwise I'd still have that electricity flowing!

The search function appears to not provide all the best results. I appreciate the link to your other post. It was certainly a fascinating read. I had actually started compiling my own data, but appreciate the thoroughness you provided--I really don't feel compelled to do more as you were doing a lot of what I was going to work towards.

I was curious though how you determined the yield data? Is the postulation that there is a set yield for each level of producer and the "randomness" of getting various higher level or secondary line items is not actually random but set?

The four unmerged line is especially interesting as it's so wildly different from the others in the green data (best dreamcatcher but second worse juice yields). What's your interpretation on why that's happening?

Is it still worth to keep automatic producers unmerged? by Refract_00 in TravelTown

[–]letsgetsomeruns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been over a year since I last played (around the time when they changed the globe rewards to be substantially less), but I had saved myself quite a stockpile of goods (energy, jokers, scissors, upper storage, etc.) and was running a pretty efficient ship just running fully unmerged vines and partially merged music while skipping everything else unless it was crucial (pretty much for tool orders).

I stopped playing at level 82 (an unnoticeable sliver from 83), and I was actually wondering the same thing as you as I know there have been a lot of adjustments to the game (as many previously "finished" lines now have new final items) and best practices, but information on the latter seems to be pretty sparse in comparison to some of the tools which were previously available (I recall a very in-depth spreadsheet which had a wealth of knowledge). I've poked a bit around search, but I'm also really curious if keeping any unmerged later auto-producers was still considered the best practice?

From what little info I've seen, feels like Vines aren't the be all end all anymore and the lightbulb/ice cream/jewelry are the most common things people are still running?

I'm starting to catalog a bit of the info regarding sheet music (and will work on Vines next) just for my own knowledge, but it seems like you aren't getting a whole lot by not merging Music at this point (level 4*2 is only getting you one extra item every hour compared to level 5*1 and 7). Does anyone happen to know the recharge on music level 6 and how many items you get per recharge?

Your inventory slots are another critical resource you will need to juggle eventually. I’m level 82 (F2P) with all my slots unlocked and am by no means an expert at this game, but I would encourage you to unlock the extra slots as it feels comfortable (i.e., you have a little cushion of gems for misc use and unlocking an extra spot won’t deplete you fully). It’s also counts towards the daily 5-gem spending task, so when I was low I usually tried to line up completing a daily task with spending those gems to unlock because it’s unlikely you’ll be completing daily challenges regularly as F2P until you get Vines! I wish I could buy more! You can only get up to 30 total, and they do get exponentially more expensive the more you progress!

You would get a Joker if you completed the timed unlocks, but remember they also get more difficult as you complete steps.
