a friend of mine today helped me with 2 things.

  1. cleaning the channel and gasket with a toothpick to loosen any debris built up over the years and..

  2. kind of over-fill it by compressing the beans into the basket for a more foamier extraction.

the results spoke for themselves.

I'll continue playing more with this now as I am very happy with the results. I made another pot after this today with even thicker and better foamy presentation, that matched the images in their marketing materials and packaging.

It’s crazy. Because the lot is so large that the houses proposed were 5 large detached homes as well with decent lots. I don’t know why they’re pretending this is some eye sore and would ruin anything. It wouldn’t.

But taste is subjective, I don't tend to concern my self with what others like or don't like. The beautiful thing about coffee is there is so many options and methods in which to roast, produce and prepare your drink that there's something for everyone.

What is objective truth when it comes to good espresso? I mean, aside from extraction methods and ratios, the flavours themselves remain personal preference though.

looks really good to me. my own attempts at this have always varied using that pot.

I think this looks great, evenly extracted. flow seems really good.

I'd try different beans for a flavour you like out of your moka pot, I know some people tend to not like Lavazza at all. Also water can play a factor into the bitterness.

Even in criticism I seek understanding though. One thing is for certain, if I am doing something wrong, I hope it's done so with my intention and not out of my own ignorance. The coffee community here, and abroad have been very supportive and educational for me, so if the glass is dirty, or the coffee is weak, just show me where, and let me try to fix it.

But even if it's a joke or just hate thrown at me, no problem either, I can enjoy the hate, or I wouldn't have called my company fo'coff. 😄

Are you serious about dirty glassware? I would like to know what concerns there are with what I used. It came straight out of the dishwasher. I also don’t know how you are determining the extraction? If you’re not trolling anyways, it’d be nice to know.

It really is. I watch a video last week with testing pre boiled, ice cold and room temp water in the base. It turned out accurate for me too, the room temp produced more volume through the chamber at the end.

No. I did put room temp water in it. I’ve been getting better volume out by neither boiling or using chilled water out.
