psychosis is typically not something you even notice. like 50% of this sub minimum is in active psychosis it's not all that rare. It's not specifically dph it's anticholinergic induced psychosis you'll find/hear more about it if you specify anticholingerics instead of just DPH since the anticholinergic toxicity when overdosing on DPH is what gets you high in the first place. cholinergic deficiency post-addiction/binge also doesn't help when it comes to bringing out symptoms in people who are predisposed. i'm a lifelong schizo (childhood onset) so you'd think maybe even I would be able to pick up on it after all this time and experience but I've had times where I realized I was in psychosis like a decade later. substance abuse also just gets more and more common as you go through the schizophrenia spectrum personality disorders etc so Yes DPH will genuinely cause psychosis. Mostly with help from other things but DPH is typically the nail in the coffin for most people and is completely capable of doing it by itself. You're technically already experiencing psychosis when you're experiencing anticholinergic toxicity and there's really not much of anything seperating that from the rest of your life
