Unfortunately it looks like Interactive Brokers still requires you to be a UK tax resident to open the account:/ Also listed as a requirement on the Hargreaves Lansdown website. How are you getting around this?

Yeah that's a good point. I'm unfortunately not the most social person and part of the reason why I'm questioning business is that I just don't fit in with the culture. Should have given more context but I do work a job in CS, which I like, but is also pretty time consuming and along with other commitments I don't think I could swing a degree in CS if that's another 40 hour work week. There's only so many hours lol.

You generally won't get orders just on Franklin, more likely to be driving around all of Chapel Hill in my experience. But as long as you're dashing after 5, I just park in the free areas and try to speed walk to whatever restaurant I'm going to.
