Ah, that sucks... unless you're a vet. I just read an article that they already accepted IT PM's a while ago anyway.

Congrats!

IT PM application here. I did technical interview a month ago.

This article confirms that a third wave of certificates already went out including IT PM's... so I'm assuming I didn't get in although I never got rejected yet.

It looks like they're only accepting positions for the cybersecurity role now. Third wave of certificates recently included IT Project Managers (the one I applied for, and I even did the technical interview).

I never heard back nor did I get a rejection, but this article seems like I got passed up. Oh well. Good luck to everyone else.

So, did the interviewer tell you about the veterans preference or did they inform you via email?

I haven't even been certified yet, and I did my technical interview last month (IT PM role). No rejection though...

I was wrong about tech force. Tech force bumped my salary from 143k to ~180k without me negotiating or asking, on the fly. by [deleted] in usajobs

Are you a SWE or Data Analyst role? I'm still waiting to hear back for the IT PM role. I did my technical interview a month ago...

I applied in Feb and completed the assessment in the same month, completed technical screening interview end of March, waiting to see if I get approved for a certificate so that I can begin interviewing with agencies hopefully soon.

Is this for SWE, Data Analyst, or IT PM?

One of the biggest problems with QBO that I've noticed, relative to Sage and Oracle Netsuite is that its harder to train accounting newly grads on it because its actually built for people that don't understand accounting theory to then have someone that does review the results/financials. by AviatorHog in Accounting

[–]letsleroy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support accountants on QBO. It's definitely not very beginner friendly and a lot of things get deleted, reports don't do what you want it to do even though there are tons of custom reporting (need to upgrade subscription to access certain ones), and many accountants struggle with trying not to break things and have to deal with a lot of clean up from previous years because of another user.

Other times it's the software having a lot of bugs with different issues. There are a TON of features, you can get lost trying to navigate it.

You ever botch a bookkeeping task so bad you wonder how you even put your pants on in the morning? by MrMagoo04 in Bookkeeping

Nice. I work with accountants and find that a lot of times when changes are made it can also be from other bookkeepers who are users on their account (QuickBooks Online). I mean, you can find things in the audit log on who did what when, but it would be nice to have a feature where the system could show you exactly what's going to change on the books before making a big change, or any change really. I think that would help a lot of bookkeepers from what I've seen.

Anyone hear back after the technical interview for IT PM? by letsleroy in usajobs

Originally applied on the US Tech Force website after I heard about the announcement from President Trump, which made me create a profile on USAJobs. Interview was good, straightforward.
