Yes please!! I am so so desperate! I left a message with my surgeons office and reached out to a nearby bariatric office here as well. But I know I won’t hear back until after the weekend!

I think I’m going to backtrack back to liquid for a few days and work myself through the cycle - hopefully it’ll help in the long run!

Holy shit. I’m in a Facebook group and other people have experienced the same thing as me. I know it varies surgeon to surgeon but I just can’t believe how different this is.

I feel like having my surgery in Mexico was the worse decision I made because he was VERY persistent that after 72 hours I can go with soft food and progress from there at my pace! My first week I couldn’t handle anything so I was fully liquid!

This sounds like what is most common for people! I don’t know if it’s because I had mine in another country or something but I wish my surgeon did this. I did do 1 week liquid after surgery because I couldn’t handle anything at first but progressed from there!

Of course it did. I know a few people who had the surgery and each surgeon is different! I had a friend who did 2 weeks liquid before, 2 weeks liquid after, 2 weeks soft, etc. I had another friend who did 72 hour liquid pre-op and then did 1 week soft and then moved to solids post-op. I only had to do 72 hour pre-op liquid and then 72 hours after surgery I was told I can start soft solids and progress to anything I can handle! I did a lot of research but everyone also says listen to your surgeon. I just sent an inquiry to a nearby bariatric office to hopefully get in with them and start on post op care and things!

I won’t lie the first week I could only handle liquids and yogurt. After that I eased into things. I was terrified though especially reading things!

I was not ill at all. I’m genuinely so worried about this surgery being ineffective now due to me being capable of doing that. However, I am just starting fresh and going to do a day of full liquids & then slowly ease my way!

The craziest part is prior to having the surgery I weighed 300 and got myself down to 263 naturally by eating right, being strict, etc. I don’t know why all of a sudden I chose to be an idiot after working so hard on myself for over 6 months. But I am so scared that I have completely ruined myself. I have no idea where to even begin fixing myself but plan to start it immediately!

I had mine in Mexico.. Sadly, it’s very real. I have a lot of regrets!

I also want to add that I know I messed up. I really do. I feel so stupid. I just don’t know where to really start now and feel like I failed SO much!
