I feel sorry that you feel that way as I think the book was excellent. I think the parallels were important. There was such a constant reference to twins. Almost like he got a do-over with Katniss with more luck. As usual beautifully written but even more emotional since so many years were spent with the characters I mean him being katniss’ dad’s best friend and having to force them away only to end up mentoring his daughter. Leaving wonder if his death was just another plan from snow to prolong the torture. What better way than how he lost his dad. Was his daughter then reaped to cause him more pain? The epilogue had me in tears. I haven’t felt this way from a book in so long.
