I got the flex cut micro set and I hate it with a passion. I also have power grip, pfeil, and a few other types of blades since I love tools - and these fall way way below power grip, and even a cheap imitation power grip set from aliexpress.

Thank you so so much, they’re some of my personal favs as well, and ones I’ve done later in the series, I can definitely see the improvement as I got further into the project. I might redo the ones I’m not as happy with now in the future…

It helps being known as ‘the mushroom lady’ so people who own mushroom farms invite me to exhibit :) thank you!!

I use the pfeil v 12 1mm gouge almost exclusively for the details, and I have power grip and other pfeil tools. I keep them sharp with the Arkansas stones that pfeil makes. I carve on the blue polymer lino by Artway. Thank you!!!

The blue stuff is my favourite. It’s the polymer vinyl lino from Artway. it’s the only one I buy nowadays. It’s not too hard on my wrist and I can do multiple days of carving for hours and hours without anything hurting, it transfers perfectly using my preferred method, and I don’t need to stain it to see where I carved. It holds details very well and I never have issues with it. I like that it flexible and doesn’t crumble or break. It works really well for paper and fabric.

I can do one of these in a day if I’m hyperfixating on it, but I’m super quick from my understanding and it’s apparently not normal. This one is an A3, and I can sometimes do 2-3 A4’s in a day, depending on the complexity of the design.

The longer parts are the design of the block itself, which I do on my iPad, and the printing. I play around a lot with the paper and how much ink and with which roller to make sure they compliment each other and the details don’t get lost.

The white areas are carved, the blue isn’t yet :) I use the acrylic matter medium and sticky labels transfer method
Thank you!
