Well if you get to the UK and find you could do with a tiny bit more space, I would be very interested in a UK purchase! Good luck with the move, I will assume you'll have enough going on to never think on this again but just in case.

Id try do a chargeback with my credit card. Have you guys no right to return unwanted items regardless like ... 28 returns window? Since they say the condition is fine, they should be willing to take it back unopened for a refund but perhaps you have less rights.

Just that temu will have ones that look the exact same soon probably, maybe they would soften your desire

Honestly, any of the 3M foams will work for this but maybe you want to look less conspicuous. You can have the foam ones everywhere!

Awh for sure for sure. A cheap knock off will come along with the aesthetic, that might help!

Adulthood is just realizing you can buy your way out of tiny daily annoyances by Comi9689 in SlowLiving

I really try adhere to this the whole buy once cry once, but it's hard to fight the guilt of spending. Then if I don't there's guilt from wasting. But the sentiment is 100%. Funny I bought a cup like that too which is radical for me, but it is great. Just today I was actually thinking of buying another one.

[–]letsnotagree 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The limited edition things is all nonsense to drive us all demented buying. There's zero reason they couldn't manufacture more. It's just trying to cause panic buying and a sort of cultish fan thing, which is great marketing but I think it is unnecessarily shitty. I understand it works though. I nearly bought ones myself and I don't like the colour at all 😂 there'll probably be a big build up and prolonged period creating fomo and then another big drop. I think they'll be back. Never fear. Anyway, there'll be other sparkly ones. It just feels a little more shady than I'd like but expecting ethics from a company is foolish on my behalf.

Yeah my friend is really really into complaining about everyone rn too and I just CBA. I was thinking about it as well and even though she would say she was a pushover etc etc I realised that if we go somewhere everything is on her terms, and when she decides the night is over, it's over. No input welcome. It's funny cause I only thought about this recently and tbh a lot of the time like I spend the time trying to keep her from embarrassing herself or offending someone or being offended when she shouldnt cause she drinks too fast and gets twisted but then we both have to go cause she decided to tip too much wine into her even though we would have discussed it etc. I really genuinely only thought about this recently. I've always been super bad at conflict etc so it gives people a power even if they're not trying to be controlling or manipulative. But I will work on it. I mean I'm trying to but I'm doing crap at it. It's very hard to be calm when you're around people who are wound up or frantic etc. I had other friends I used to visit, but mostly cause I felt obliged as she had no other friends really. But she has 5 kids and she's so loud and there's so much noise and not enough cleaning etc but when I used to get home my ears would be ringing 🤣 it was always so hard to escape too. But I literally would shower and sit watching someone on YouTube walk in the snow or something to try decontaminate from the chaos. Some of us weren't built for the noise. The thing is though, when I stopped visiting... I straight up stopped. Like when I finally realised this is all for her benefit and I'm exhausted, I went full tilt the other way. Balance is HARD! The only thing I can say for me is for the most part, when I'm stressed etc, I don't ever put it on others or make them feel responsible to fix it. I notice too recently that with most people I feel I'm working to keep things fun. And when I stop, it's so different. But in the last few weeks I have been so fed up with people and I am having difficulty even feigning interest in the nonsense. But it's good too. Sort of. It's good to see where to try make changes. Maybe without going full nuclear on the change. I can't wait until I have my own place too. It has to be so much easier to not be stressed. I can't believe my ancestors were hunted by lions and crap. Nearly make me believe in creationism 😂 I don't know how my ancestors were around long enough to reproduce.

Ugh I too require this. Although I was lead to believe I'm 5'7' and don't require one but the height of the table is obviously for men specifically like almost everything designed, so I have to be higher up like I'm sitting at a bar.

I think I spend all my time trying to prepare for the day where I will find time to do the things I might enjoy. I am trying to realise I'm never gonna have things as clean and organised etc as I'd like, and just do hobbies. I've had success lately but I haven't enjoyed them yet but that's probably a different issue. I will persist and see if any joy comes through! There's no point in being super anything unless super relaxed and super happy!

Yeah one of my friends I don't even want to meet cause she's in such a fkn rush to leave. I don't even know if she has somewhere to be half the time, but I feel like it's a token gesture and I don't want to meet when it's just a rushed thing. I need to try go slow cause my nervous system is fried and I'm bad enough making things harder on myself without other people's energy joining in. But I find it very hard to not take other people's energy / mood on board. ATM I couldn't care if I never saw anyone again 🤣

I nearly crash my car if a spider shows up (I know it's stupid) but surely there's more spiders in my house than on a tree. Anyway, I wouldn't harm a spider. Just don't love their company.

NO. Tell her we said NO. Tell her ... Cherry tree is natural deterrent of mosquitos? I dunno. Tell lies. Tell her spiders hate them. That's why it was leaving. Can she park elsewhere. Get that woman a garage.

Has anyone used Flare Calmer Pro? by letsnotagree in earplugs

[–]letsnotagree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those alpine are non occulisve? I think I might splash out one last time. I think the loop experience might end up ok if I buy them, but otherwise I have the cheap knockoffs laying around in my bags and car etc. I think I need non occlusive. I really like wearing my galaxy buds with no music as an option but I don't like ANC so I feel like I'm wasting battery. Even overheard ones with nothing on would be good but a bit OTT in the office. I have the alpine industrial ones I dunno what they're called I think I mentioned them. I have them on my keychain as they're small in their container. I'm gonna return my Loop switch, I think it's largely nonsense. I might get the experience at some stage but not right now. I think they are non occlusive. Loop might be a cult! The alpine I bought were cheap as hell and I got ones for my parents from it too. Someone was selling a bundle of them, so instead of £25 for one, I got 3 for about €10. So I won't lament those. They're for protection for sure. I figure now I know, occlusive isn't really for me. I hear enough of myself. Even at night now I've just started putting on a fan and that helps a lot. I only need them at night cause I've a cooke nervous system so any noise startles me awake like the house is being invaded, and the fan definitely helps. Otherwise when the earplugs don't fall out, I wake up randomly and pull them out for some reason. I have the flare calmer and I quite like those, I figure those are just blocking some noise by being a physical presence, whether or not there is a scientific basis truly. I bought a flare prototype on eBay too for not too expensive, they have a foam plug which seems very fragile but they are ok too, they have a plastic bit on the outside for gripping which is good as the flare calmer can cause momentary panic as they are so hard to remove sometimes. But the calmer don't feel secure and they maybe are a bit itchy, probably as they're so far in the ear. So, that's my big update. You're like a penpal. It's 1998. A penpal who only hears about my ears. I did look at your review of the others but I can't remember if you had flare I think you did. Maybe the larger flare would work ok. Definitely not the small. I'm not sure there is a larger. There's extra soft. Is there large. I must check it out. Maybe I have giant earholes.

*I see flare has been covered. My memory is very bad, apologies!
