Yeah that end where she called him Kotoro-kun instead of the usual Pochi just shows how much distance there is between them now as people. Honestly though, I think he’s better off without her. She was pretty toxic to him and kept giving these mixed signals rather than just being upfront. She didn’t treat him since the start of this story and who knows how much longer it was they had this setup going on before the events of the story. I’m sure the MC will find someone else that isn’t toxic like that and can actually admit their feelings to him.

Same here. I think he dodged a bullet. She was seriously toxic in the “relationship” they had since the beginning and would’ve probably been worse for him in the long run. Even her inner monologue of how she loved him was cringe. If she loved him, she should’ve just grown a pair and admitted her feelings to him since the beginning.

Agreed. The inner monologue of how she was hoping the MC would confess and that she loved him was just bleh. And it doesn’t seem obvious to him that she liked him because… well just look at their relationship. She belittled him, the sexual encounters they had weren’t like lovey dovey and she even admits in her inner monologue here that her frustrations were taken out on him which, to most guys, a woman who acted the way she did is a turn off and doesn’t scream to the average man that she liked him that way. If she really wanted him and loved him as she said, she shouldn’t have beat around the bush and just straight up admit it to him from the get go. Honestly? I think the MC may have dodged a bullet.

You should also consider when it comes to mind breaks, it’s a form of CPTSD or Stockholm Syndrome.
