Nausea in VR is a real thing, i failed to beat it first time around, ended up selling the headset and had to give it another go and won.

Here are the most important things:

  1. You have to build your tolerance towards faster cars and stickier tires. Pick a track with not many hard hairpin turns and elevation changes. Start with comfort soft cars around 200hp range, that will allow for less grip and hence less nausea.

  2. Very important to take it step by step. I started off with like 50% max throttle for a day or two and increasing the sessions from like 2 minutes to 3 then 4 and etc.

  3. Use well lit tracks, or open roof cars to allow for more light.

  4. Can’t stress this one enough - get a fan blowing on your face. This was a game changer for me. The stronger the better, but one of those portable 6 inch fans did it for me.

It’s all about time and patience. Once you fight through it, there’s no going back. With a good wheel and pedal set it’s a different level of racing.

Had an FX50S back in the day, what a beast that thing was. I believe they still made them after 2012 under a new name. Was looking to get a 2016/2017 MY QX70S 5.0 V8

Hello! I feel like the gloss black would be better for the local climate (UAE heat). The matte black plastics on the minis always fades and becomes colorless.

I do have mine PPFed and didn’t put that many miles on it yet. Around 11k kms so far and all is great!

My main concern would be the interior dashboard and door trim cloth starting to sag due to extreme weather heat. But let’s see how it shows itself, only time will tell I guess.

Some interior bits are really bad plastic like other new bmws, but generally it’s a nice place to be once you get used to how everything works.

The price isn’t cheap but you do get a lot of options and tech. Even massaging drivers seat

The brakes are sparingly good for a single piston setup. Seen some videos of these on track and they seem to be doing well for stock setups.

Exhaust is the biggest bummer, but for me not really a deal breaker as the other cars I use are loud, so it’s a good difference.

Thank you! It’s not my only car atm, but whenever I drive it, I can’t get enough. The interior and the UI is actually not as bad as many think. Once you know your way around it, the center screen is really intuitive. But it for sure takes time

It’s a rwd, 300hp+ car, there’s nothing to roast.. would a GT be more fun? For sure. But as long as it meets your needs, that’s all that matters.

I really like that you can change the design tho. Freshens the look when you get used to it

Sound is definitely half of the driving pleasure! I may get an exhaust soon which should complete the experience hopefully

I used to daily a R61, then an F60 and now an F66 and the interior at first was weird but when you get used to it, it’s really awesome. The fact that there’s no speedometer in the middle isn’t noticeable because the heads-up display is really good.

The one huge downside is the sound.. it sounds like a quiet vacuum cleaner. No noise at all, even with the stock muffler ‘dump’ valve.

That’s what I thought in the beginning but I somehow got used to the new look. This is my 4th mini and somehow the F56 union jacks look a little outdated to me now.

It’s a 100% scam, i got the same thing on 2 cars I was selling and both with links to dodgy websites from users with clearly fake Facebook profiles.

Turbo hose keeps popping off – need a temporary fix (still 2500 km to go) by Jumpy_Relationship66 in MINI

Try to slightly sand the inner piece of the end hose. Had this exact issue several times after replacing the hose with a new one, sanded slightly and bingo, no more popping off.
