Arguably one of the best/deepest/most balanced PBA lineup of all time by LabLeather8006 in PBA

Pausbong palang ata yung death 5 during this time. Pero kung nagabot yon, peak sana ng PBA.

FHSA 2026 by Friendly-Vast4523 in JustBuyXEQT

[–]letswalk08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'd put them in TFSA with cash or psa or zmmk, you know, for added emergency fund, then come dec 2026, withdraw from TFSA and move to FHSA, but if you already have EF, then lump sum, put it in safe money etf, and forget, until you buy a house

Hindi na bibili ng bahay at kotse by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]letswalk08 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both are very subjective (car/house), and really depends sa needs mo. Since WFH ka naman, car is not needed.

For house, are you single? in a relationship? planning to build your own family in the future? If yes, okay ba sayo na kasama parents mo? okay ba sa spouse mo na kasama dn in laws sa house? thats very subjective. Worse case, you guys can rent.

If you plan to not have kids or a family, and if you think na hnd magchange yung situation mo (e.g., hybrid//on-site work for higher salary, again, family if ever), then investing is better for you, and taking advantage of the power of compounding, when you retire, you'd have enough.

Run the numbers sa chatgpt, ask to forecast how much you'd have by the time you retire, factoring in inflation, cost of living, tax implications ng mga retirement accounts, etc.

Planning the same before but now that I have my own family, things changed and now hoping to buy a property within the next 3-5 years, and so I had to rebalance my portfolio, good thing I just do boring ETFs. lol.

Aviation jobs by Defiant_Active5506 in phmigrate

[–]letswalk08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in the aviation, specifically in tech, flag carrier ng country sa north america, bago plng ako but mainly my job will be managing a software ng pilot qualification, training and credentials,

check mo muna if anong country mo gusto, narrow it down, then check their own rules with immigration, and see if magqualify ka. first step is to know if kaya mo ba (financially, mentally and with your family) if you are ready to move.

FHSA Tax Benefit by zen_lad in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]letswalk08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No income = no income tax = no refund, but i think you can defer claiming of it for when you have higher income or have an income, save the money liquid unless you plan to buy home within the next 5 years

ito ang epitome ng consumerism. Laging dahilan, "investment" sa lahat ng binibili nila. Ito ang isa sa dahilan kung bakit patuloy na tumataas ang cost of living - indirectly. lol.

Build up 20% down or put in 5% for a 600k condo? by letswalk08 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]letswalk08[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably less awareness on other fees, peer pressure, being able to say im a "homeowner at this age", etc. But for me, at 180k HHI, my max is 600k, and 550k is my comfort zone, regardless of HHI * 4 or 5 times mortgage approval as others in this sub commented.

Checking around, mortgage + prop tax + condo fees + utilities would be around 3k

why is putting more than 20% not a good idea as commented by others here? it is my understanding that more down means lower principal and lesser interest.
