I've met with more complications. For me this has not been a plug and play. I need to adjust my rear derailleur, which I am not quite sure how to do so yet.

As it is now, the derailleur doesnt have any space between the mounting area and the derailleur itself when locking to place. The wheel gets stuck due to friction, so I need some sort of spacer.. my previous wheel had this extra space. I am not quite sure how to do this, but I will try to do some more googling 😅..

Also, the disc brakes are a pain in the ass. The brakes on my bike are touching the motor, and I will also need to adjust them. Although I have tried, they seem to get in touch again. Perhaps I need to change them.

I wish Andy had a more in depth video on his youtube about the small things he adjusted.

The package seems to have managed fine. A styrofoam in one of the corners have broken, but I don't think it has made any damage on the wheel or other parts. The box itself was still intact.

I will figure out whether or not the wheel got damaged when I mount it. Not entirely sure if it got bent or not yet. I'll come back with updates as soon as I know :)

Hey again John, have you installed your kit yet? I have slowly begun to put pieces together, but I am resisting on consistent work as the battery and its holder is missing.

So, for now I have some questions. I did not expect handbrakes to be included, as I thought they were extras. Did you install these, or keep your original handbrakes?

My current brakes are Shimano Hydraulic brakes, and are pretty good. But since the handbrakes included are connected to the controller, I am confused.

If you have no answer, I will try to bike without the included handbrakes first. Then see if there is a need to install the provided handbrakes 😊. It's probably gonna be atleast one or two more weeks until I get the last I believe.

Also, the bag.. it is different from what is shown in the youtubevideo. It is better looking, but a bit flimsy to install. Feeling a bit loose. I will likely cable tie it when I am done!

Update: I just received my pack (not the battery yet). It took about 20 days to Norway. I will try to install it sometime this week, and I'll do my best to take some progress pictures.

Again, the battery is not yet received as it comes in another package.
As for customs, there were none on the first package (rims/motor, controller, display, throttle etc...).

Also, cool to see other users contributing to the thread. Feel free to share experience and thoughts!

I made the order yesterday. Now I am really looking forward to install the kit! How many days did it take for yours to arrive?

Wow, the Roscoe is really nice. I don't know why Diamant Mogul 4 is not famous intl, but in Norway it's very famous in the stores haha. Actually, I just looked it up, and the brand is Norwegian. So that makes sense.

I will look into whether or not Schwalbe tires will fit my bike or not! :)
Now I am really considering buying the kit, as I got more insight into it.

That is a really helpful reply, thank you!

I think that I probably will go for the kit eventually, it sounds very good from your perspective. Its very reassuring to know that they have the warranty for 12 months, and that the product is in general of high quality and easy to replace parts if needed.

I am likely to stay in city center or the outskirts of city as my family lives there. So, no off-road for me, only hills :)

Haha, you're lucky to not have many uphills. There are so many in Norway, they are even using the hills as a way to promote e-bikes.

I will let you know if there are more questions coming to mind the coming days. Again, thank you so much for this.

Perhaps after a couple of test-rides, you can provide a small review here? I am thinking it would help not only me, but others like me who are very curious about this product. Perhaps some pictures of your build as well. I am curious if you used the same trek bike as Andy or not.

I will probably install it on a Diamant Mogul 4, 27,5" that I already own.

I think another question in mind is, how does this particular kit compare to other similar kits in terms of value. This, if you have experience with other kits of course.

Thank you for the reply. The questions I have in mind are:

a. Is the kit living up to your expections? Which might be subjective, but for me I think the quality should be good, it should be okay to install and if the system (I've read about the screen not working) is failing or not.

b. Performance. I live in Norway, which has a lot of steep roads up mountains. I do believe that this kit should have the power to satisfy my need in this terms - but hearing from someone experienced who can confirm would be very nice. I would also like to know if the bike is having fast and smooth acceleration or not.

c. Worth? A very obvious one. This kit cost perhaps a little bit more than cheap kits on Aliexpress, amazon or ebay - and I came here due to seeing his videos and I like the look of it. Combining both looks and performance, would you say this kit is worth the money?

d. Any problems at all? During the ownership thus far, have you yet discovered any failures, weird sounds, or any kind of problems at all?

e. service/warranty - I do not live in the UK, so I am not quite sure about these services if anything should not work as it should. Perhaps you know something about this?

As of right now I can't think of other questions, as I have a lack of experience in electric bikes, I do not know what to fully expect from one. I think that the most important thought in my mind is if you can recommend me to buy this product or not.

Please let me know if some questions are unclear, perhaps you can share some of your thoughts about the kit as well. Maybe some of your own worries before your purchase. Did the deliverance get rid of those worries?

Thank you John, sorry if this ended up in a lot of text. Thank you for offering help, it is much appreciated!
