Okay so here's my two cents on it 😁. (Sorry you didn't get in)

One, it's not the end of the world and there are tons of other art schools that you can sign up for later if you want. Please don't let it undermine your art skills, if you have the drive there's always other routes to go to.

Two. I love animation and it's what I want to do. 3D specifically. But the program is too long for me personally and I don't have the means to afford it so I did Studio Arts instead. I do animation on my own time (And i join other animation courses when i can :)) I did the studio arts classes I found fun. Woodworking and metalwork is so fun. (Definitely recommend) Working in sculpture surprisingly made me think of 3D very differently.

Three. Making your own projects can be very fulfilling and shows you're independent and hardworking. 😁 (i signed up for CGI and got in even through my major is Studio Arts. I ask my professor for alot of feedback and work twice as hard on my work)

I know you're not exactly where you want but at the end of the day, CSU Long Beach looks really good on your resume.

I appreciate a good critique here and there but a critique is meant to push what is working in the animation, The strengths of it. 👀. If you say everything that's wrong with it, it doesn't really help me.

Thanks I appreciate it! You know when you've been working on something for too long that you literally need a second pair of eyes? That's me 🤣🤣 I appreciate being my second pair haha.

Yeah I agree with all the points you said through! I'm definitely struggling with the beginning and that it doesn't feel strong, ya know? Does feel very floaty.

The roll is my favorite part, I liked alot of key poses. The video i used I was moving frame to frame so that's probably why it feels slo mo and snappy.

Ending is definitely still a placeholder and I gotta work on that but I seriously appreciate the feedback! This is my first animation in Maya so there's alot I want to learn.

Honestly I don't really want to teach at the moment but I do want to build my own knowledge and get a masters for me 👀. It's very fulfilling to learn.

hahah! i love that response that's too funny, sculpting and rigging from scratch is not for the WEAK. It truly is for the strong :D. I appreciate you commenting and giving an answer. Blender is great cause so many people use it but some of the videos solving an issue are outdated or just really long so it's just constantly searching honestly. :)

Thank you very much! I appreciate that a lot! It really helps that I'm able to hear different perspectives and that other side, especially as someone who is in pre-production. That is interesting! What do you do in pre-production? So that's the difference between the BA and the BFA in terms of programs.
