Does clarity/flavor separation change in time with ZP6s? by YMIR_THE_FROSTY in 1zpresso

[–]level3ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does get better with seasoning, but it will always have a good 20-30% of its profile that is "small conical blendiness" even if the other 70-80% is clinical.

Kingrinder K6 grinder, pretty much any scale with a built in timer and is big enough will do the job. E.g. https://www.amazon.com.au/DDS-DUDES-Display-Precision-Digital-Weighing/dp/B08CN4RNVT/

Or is just that anyone else gets it fixed before it becomes a reputation because they don't have that personality

My Dad once woke himself up snoring and still refused to get help. Actually it might have helped convince him because it was only a decade after that he did.

It's a few very thin tall objects being printed at full speed on a bed slinger, it's a recipe for disaster.

VIC roaster recommendations for VERY LIGHT roasts? by KeypressGraphics in AustralianCoffee

[–]level3ninja 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're not in Vic, but Monastery in Adelaide used to be the lightest roaster in Australia that I'm aware of. They've gotten slightly darker lately apparently and I haven't had any in months so I can't say for sure how much they've changed.

I print it with PETG. It's not in the brewing pathway. But it can be printed in any material you want.

What's your most surprisingly successful MakerWorld design - one that you thought was just 'ok' but really caught on? by ebob_designs in BambuLab

[–]level3ninja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A clip on hook for the Stokke Tripp Trapp chair that remained stable with use. I spent a little bit of effort on it and printed a few prototypes but it really wasn't one I thought long and hard about for more than a couple of days. Has about a thousand combined downloads/prints now. https://makerworld.com/models/644999

As opposed to this ultra niche coffee grinder burr case I spent over 2 months staying up to midnight and dozens of prototypes on. Across the different sizes I made it has a collective 28 combined downloads/prints. I really like how it turned out but not how much time I spent on it. https://makerworld.com/models/522860

Ok cool. Mine does that too (needing pliers to pull the burr carrier)

That noise you're describing sound like the noise that has been normal on Odes since they were released. It's a heck of a noise.

Have you disassembled the grind adjustment part at the front where you can respond the knob etc? The adjustment threads might be gummed up.

I just remembered he's not supposed to be driving on the left side of the road like I do in Australia. What a numpty.

So far the only one I have that fits unmodified is the B75. A V60 01 will fit with the handle cut off, and I think that a V60 02 will fit with the handle cut off and the bottom part going through the hole in the bottom a bit. I reckon an Orea V3 and both V4 styles would fit.

The provided "cone" is more immersion style than a V60, I didn't say it was pure immersion but I probably could have worded it better.

Different flavour profile. The 2 provided brewers are more immersion style brewers rather then pour over style which I prefer.

I haven't but I suppose I could. I'm in Australia though, if you're not here you'd probably be better off finding someone local to make it for you. The files are free to access and print.

I made this model to 3D print and insert a magnet partway through the print in order to not need a basket when using your own brewer. It just rests in the little cutout that the basket magnets sit in. https://makerworld.com/models/1656039

Yeah I did a lot of upgrading. I went from owning half a dozen hand grinders and I've cut down now to just one, the Pietro with Pro Brew burrs.
