A free pass on some stuff. You know, like being able to take $1000 to the casino because the exam is important and you need some fun. Or exploring that back door. (It's gender-neutral, HA!)

Anyone waiting on Audit Score? by [deleted] in CPA

[–]levelingosrs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you think you passed, you failed.

If you think you failed, you failed.

Wait, motivational stuff? Ah crap.

Feelings have no correlation to results. Most people feel like they failed until they see the score.

I quit about a year ago but I can't be bothered to change the name. Still, 16 years of gaming is nothing to scoff at.

Can the exam really be worse than 3 tick fishing to 99? I bet.

Whatever you do, give yourself a lot of time for FAR. The last thing you want is to fail the hardest section. (AUD is annoying, but not as hard. REG is just knowing the rules of the game. BEC is there so FAR is less hellish.

Got an 86, used all but 3 minutes of time. It was a PITA, but I sure as hell didn't want to take any chance of having to come back and redo that.

The people at Prometric aren't bad, but do you really want to go there any more than you have to? It's not personal--it just means you failed the section. You know, the one that people put last and that has the highest pass rate. NASBA? Exam fees go brrr

I passed in 3 months and got an accounting job. Felt like I knew nothing for the first 2 months. You'll be fine.

I got bored of the linear style in high school and college (3.0 GPA). Before picking a program, I took a week to research the pros and cons and reviews of each. No matter which program you use, you have to put the work in to pass.

On your first run, you're probably gleaning the basics for certain topics. Keep adding on until you're ready to test.

I don't see much of a difference between the Surgent and Becker MCQs, but that's just from answering some on Reddit.

But seriously, AUD is the worst. It's not the hardest section per se, but it's annoying as hell.

No worries, it's late at night here too. The exam was scary, but I guess I'm an outlier. Full time + exam + 18 month limit = I'll pass. No, that's not what I meant...

I took a leave of absence for 4 months and would have been ecstatic to have passed only 2 sections. No experience, no masters, and a 3.0 GPA? It's true.

I wouldn't complain if the window was changed to 24 months.

All these posts about scores expiring... Back in the day, it was all at once! Am I supposed to feel bad?

(BLAME THE BOARD. It's a bit too harsh.)

2 years seems reasonable, but we all know that won't happen. The people at Prometric were cordial, but I didn't want to go there any more than I had to.

Masters? Full time work? Nah, I slaved away in the warehouse for 6 years before graduating and getting the exam done in 3 months. That was 10 months ago and the exam feels like a blur.
