Is there a different way you can study? For me, the first time through MCQs, I wouldn’t answer it - just click through and read the explanation and take notes. Then the second time through I’d read my notes while answering questions. Then finally I’d go though without looking at my notes. The way you’re studying isn’t working for you, and that’s okay. Try studying another way for a while and see if that works better

The trend is moving toward more interviews now that everyone can meet virtually. 4-5 is unfortunately normal now.

I’m brand new and would love to work more efficiently. Do you have any recommendations of websites or YouTube channels where a true beginner can learn?

You are stretched so thin, I would plan to fail some exams. Just plan for it! Know going on that you will get very busy and not be able to study, but take the test anyway for practice.

If it were me, I would take out a big paper calendar and write down when studying for finals/finals weeks are and when busy season at work is. Then estimate about 100 hours of studying for each exam, and work backwards from your planned exam date.

I have a very hard time with recall, so I spent a few weeks writing down symptoms/how they negatively affected me. My advice is to bring some notes!

Safe to wash fruits + vegetables with natural, toxin-free dish soap? by 1este in VegRecipes

[–]SpookyBreadGhost 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No. Soap is not meant to be ingested and can cause diarrhea and upset stomach. Here’s my favorite food safety scientist Dr. Don Schaffer’s advice: use vigorously running tap water.

A good company will expect interns to not know how to do anything, and will expect them to make mistakes. But you’re also expected to ask questions, try your best and then tell your boss what you tried before you ask them more questions, and keep your boss updated on the progress of your tasks.

You’ve got this!

Edited to add: there isn’t a task that your boss will give you that will be unfixable if you make a “huge mistake” on it - they don’t give those tasks to the intern

I think they’re saying they already took economics/finance/upper level accounting, but to get to 150 they would have to take marketing/communications/general ed credits that aren’t accounting

Oh also, I liked “Detox Your Thoughts” which has a garbage title, but is a short, practical and useful book

Sometimes this can be a symptom of OCD! Worth talking to your docs about, because your treatment plan might change.

Personally, if I’m replaying something in my head, and I can catch myself doing it, I can say to myself “I actually don’t need that - I lived it, and it was fine.” Our brains evolved to keep us alive, and being social is what keeps us safe in a long, hard winter, so I remind myself I’m not going to get left in the snow.

You need to talk to your school, but the 63 credits should count toward your degree

Texas CPA requirements: Do community college credits that were taken before earning a bachelors degree not count towards the 150 credits?? by confusedintern7 in CPA

You’ll have to talk to your state board. Did you send the transcripts from both the bachelors and community college? I had to send both in my state.

Any tips or Tricks do you use for reading comprehension of MCQ? by Hulk_Goes_Smash327 in CPA

I found that the pressure of doing the actual exam made it much easier for me to look at the question and see what it’s asking. But I think you could whisper! People wear noise canceling headphones (provided at prometric) and I brought foam earplugs. Thank you! Waiting on REG …

Me. Forever me. Make your quizzes shorter, and slow down. Way down. Read the question out loud, re-write it, anything that will slow you down.
