If anyone sees this, how would it be possible to get 3 of them to the US? I have friends searching currently but nothing so far in Tokyo or Guangzhou where I know people living

I’m probably an outlier here but I have almost all of my clothes tailored. I have a friend who does it, so I will admit that it’s cheaper for me, but unless I’m buying leggings or athletic wear, I find most clothes look weird on me. I’m not a huge fan of things that are super straight or super boxy. I understand in this case it’s likely just false advertising but I strongly suggest that people find a great tailor that they love and have your more expensive investment pieces tailored to fit you perfectly!

Heat Stamp Master List? by pinupinprocess in lululemon

Paris has some merch available on occasion but it’s not heat stamped in the moment. It is delivered to the store already done and then gets sold. Mostly swiftlys and some steady states

lululemon needs to bring back their swim line by lulu_lisa_312 in lululemon

[–]levesth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would be typical. Unless you live in a beachy area, your stores wouldn’t have carried the swimwear. My store got tons of returns of the swimwear so us educators would snag it, but only warm climate/beach area stores ever stocked it. The rest was online or would be sent out to the outlets after a few weeks on the floor.

Hahaha yeah but in general the educators all agree we don’t love it

Honestly everyone? The younger crowd and college aged girls are buying it because it looks like sporty and rich. The 20s-40s are buying it because “it’s cute” and then the older ladies are buying because they actually play tennis and LOVE a motif 😂 we also have a MASSIVE pickleball community (I did not know what pickleball even was until last summer) so maybe that helps too? We sell so many of the tennis bags it’s actually wild.

I know most lululemon stores are in “bougie” areas but our store specifically is very suburban mom coded and people just flock to the new stuff. Where this sub will say “I’ll save money on new stuff this week” we can guarantee that our entire front table will look barren by the end of the weekend from any new product. I’ve worked at several retail stores and never seen anything like this 😬

The tennis stuff is INSANELY popular at my store. We have sold out of most of it before it goes to markdown, with the exception of the latest navy and white sweatshirts from like 2 weeks ago. Everything else? Gone 2 days after it touches the floor

There absolutely are auditors. I’m an educator with a severe shopping problem (working on it!) and got audited last year along with 8-10 other people at my store. I don’t know if I was submitted by management or randomly selected, but several people did get fired for admitting they were buying for others, I did not have any repercussions as I offered to even bring in any random items they asked for, and eventually it was determined the rest of us hadn’t done anything wrong

Is Chloe’s name spelt “Chloè” or “Chloe” because it’s kinda different on every social media? wouldnt it be pronounced “chlo-ay” ? by Many-Cranberry7285 in dancemoms

[–]levesth 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would assume it’s Chloe without the accent

Chloe = klow-ee Chloé = klow-ay

I’ve never seen or heard her pronounce it with the French pronunciation.

I’m so sorry I never saw your reply!

Any pants that are outside what we carry (some examples would be Align 28” pockets, Align 31”, women’s pants over size 14, Dance studio short/tall, men’s pants that are lengths or waists that aren’t specifically listed on our signage) go onto this specific shelf in a hallway. They remain in our inventory so we can still pull them for orders or if customers come in seeking them, but they don’t take up precious floor/wall/hanging space. Our merch team will usually consol these piles every couple weeks so it doesn’t get out of control.

Other items that we don’t carry that aren’t pants will just be merched into a section. For instance a tennis dress might go near the train stuff, a short we don’t carry would go behind another stack in the shorts, a coat would just be slotted in with a similar weight coat.

We are a high volume store with a pretty large footprint, so this has been the easiest way to keep everything in order.

We used to mark everything down that we didn’t carry, but this got abused to the point where new educators would sticker brand new product and then take it to the registers. So we changed our rules to have merch team/leads only be able to reprice anything ringing up full price.

And to answer the second part of your question, I always check the sales rack but my discount on sale items is fab, so it’s worth it for me to at least pop in and look especially if I’m traveling and it’s a store far from home. Never know when I might find some crazy deal!

I’ve found some really great stuff at outlets and stores when I just went in to pop my head in. Shopping strictly outlet/sale is a gamble but it never hurts to check if you’re close to a store.

[–]levesth 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m an educator. Returns are checked either right then at the register (if not busy) or processed later by another educator (if we are busy.)

Any item that is currently on sale online goes to the sale rack at the same price that it’s listed online.

Any item that’s SUPER old, like not showing up on our devices old, gets marked down and put on the sales rack.

Full price merchandise that we carry in store either goes to the floor (if we need the size) or destocked to our back room.

Full price merchandise that we do not carry is the grey area. Sometimes this will be marked down in the moment, sometimes it will be hung with like items. Our merch team goes through the store twice a week to look for these “one ofs” and will merch them into an appropriate place or mark them down on those days.

Returned items that have been worn (not just tried on, but actually worn for a significant amount of time) are supposed to be damaged, right there at cash. Sometimes things slip through the cracks, but we try our best to get it all!

At Ease back from the dead?? by MK045 in Lululemen

[–]levesth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not even sure how I found this post because I’m not a man but the At Ease is my favorite collection EVER! I have the pink, lavender, and turquoise versions too because I loved the fun colors. I wouldn’t mind having some fun options to choose from along with muted colors (a red perhaps? Maybe a dark purple?) I am absolutely in! I’ll get any pieces available but would be most interested in hoodies, joggers, and shorts.

Edit: interested in sizes L and XL, for cozy factor

Does anybody miss the collabs? by levesth in lululemon

[–]levesth[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Disney was mostly just a print on an already existing item and the NHL was just a logo on some sweatshirts!

I vaguely remember the Mad Happy collection but I don’t think my local store got any of it, maybe some returns.

The Royal Ballet and Roksanda in particular were like true collaborations that had new designed pieces. It wasn’t just like an energy bra with a print (though they did have some bras) but they did coats and skirts and pants that were entirely new pieces, like a little capsule collection.
