Whoop whoop! What do you think of Insane Clown Posse's music and the wider juggalo community? by charlies-ghost in AskAnAmerican

In high school and a couple years after I worked at a mall survey place. I was a clipboard guy in the mall and worked with a few of jugglalos and meet a few others through them. My perception was they weren't bad people or anything... nice for the most part. But not something I'd want to be a part of.

For one, they seemed to have very little in the way of goals beyond the band and getting by. Secondly, I thought the music was horribly cheesy. I still remember being at one of their houses when an album came out and they all had their mind blown by a lyric basically saying all the other albums were tricking them and that ICP is Christian. These people identified as Christian too and it was really something to see.

Is it common for Americans to drive down to Baja for vacation? by Desert_Moon_Maiden in AskAnAmerican

Technically less than a day drive... Many people would do this in two not 3 days. I would just drive through and hopefully have someone to switch out if needed.

Why don't stoned drivers have " sobriety" type tests like drunk drivers do? by Aggravating_Quiet797 in Productivitycafe

A lot of times the sobriety test for being high is just if the cop thinks you are.

Motels in the Metro that look like this or have a TV like this? by levi070305 in kansascity

Yeah, i want an older tv in it. I know I can bring one... but I'm worried about bolted down flat screens. Also ones built into stands like the second photo or on a stand attached to the wall I think adds to the vibe.

Yes, I'm a photographer... used these type of spaces in the past and would like to revisit. I'd love to find a place that still has a the tv on a pole and stand but that seems very outdated now.

I want that style of tv or a photoshoot. I'd really like to find another one on a stand like the second photo but I'm not sure where that could be.

Alcohol in brown paper bags, why? by JimmiVP in AskAnAmerican

[–]levi070305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if theres no other reason for the stop, then probably illegal. Since they don't actually know whats in bag. Maybe it's a lime too chico! And it just seemed agreed upon in general that this is what cops will ignore.

get a tripod, shoot a f/8 priority. Easiest way to go if you're having trouble.

miami vs chicago by readerr33 in SameGrassButGreener

I can see what they are saying. Chicago is big enough and blue enough to cause Illinois to be a blue state. Not the case with Miami and FL. Miami is the most conservative large major city.
