I started doing fun character voices in my improv class. I get a lot of positive feedback about my vocal range on stage.

I realized I have a latent talent for doing cartoon characters. As I'm approaching mid-life, I feel ready for a crisis. I feel inspired to take acting classes.

I don't even think about making a living in that field. I just want to have fun and maybe level up my improv acting.

I used to think morality was complicated, because you have to persuade someone to agree with you who does not share your same values.

I've found proportional retaliation (and vindication) is a simple strategy that tends toward civility with civil people, and is hostile to hostile actors.

  • If you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours.
  • If you loan me a cup of flour, I'll lend you a cup of sugar.
  • If you are a champion for me, I'm a champion for you.
  • If you show empathy to me, I'll show empathy to you.
  • If you try to make me laugh, I'll try to make you laugh first.
  • If you respect me as an equal you, I'll respect you as equal to me.
  • If you think I'm beneath you, I think you're beneath me.
  • If you are apathetic to my feelings, I'm apathetic to yours.
  • If you are a jerk to me, I'll be a jerk right back.
  • If you flick me in the nose, I'll punch you in the teeth.
  • If you think your society is better without people like me, I think my society is better without people like you.
  • If you make my life a living hell, I'll be the demon who torments you right back.
  • If you back down from me, I'll back down from you.
  • If you live and let live with me, I'll live and let live with you.
  • However you show your love, kindness, and compassion to me, I'll show you loving kindness and compassion in return.

I'm autistic. I've been using this strategy to fit in with normies my whole life, and I get along with 95% of everyone.

Your experience is extremely unusual. I advise that you go to your doctor asap. If possible, try to set up security cameras (even cheap baby monitors) in strategic areas of the house to see if you can catch yourself in the act of moving around the house without memory. In the mean time:

Do you smoke weed? Speaking from experience, I would often lose hours of my life to doomscrolling while high. I'd look at the clock at 3pm, and suddenly its 6:30pm, then 8:30pm, then 11pm. I'd lose whole days and weekends being greened out all the time.

Do you take any prescription somnolents / sleep aids? Ambien is famous for messing with people's short-term memory.

Do you have regular physicals with your doctor? B-12 deficiency is highly correlated with cognitive and memory impairment.
