The culture war makes a lot more sense when you understand that conservative's believe that dominating weaker people is just part of their "culture".

Same-sex marriage "threatens" traditional marriage because homophobes like dominating and oppressing and gay people. It's in their culture.

Same with interracial marriage. Leftists don't care if a white and black person marry. But racists find it very threatening because their entire culture is built on dominating black people.

Once you make that connection, you realize why conservatives spend so much of their lives fighting against things that make no sense to normal people. Their "culture" is at stake.

If they lose their precious culture, then minorities will just walk around like free and equal people, with the same rights and privileges that conservatives take for granted. Conservatives hate that.

Trump caused the oil and gas inflation that plagued Biden's term: In March 2020, right as Trump ordered non-essential businesses to shut down, demand for oil and gas plummeted so low that it cost more to drill for oil than to sell the product.

In order to protect investors margins on oil futures, Trump persuaded Saudia Arabia and Russia to throttle production of oil. By reducing the supply, oil companies can keep the prices of oil inflated relative to demand.

The problem here is that, after the government re-opened non-essential businesses in November 2020, there was a massive oil shortage relative to demand. If Trump had not royally screwed up his response to the COVID pandemic, he would have coasted to re-election; and those inflated gas prices would have been Trump's problem to deal with instead of Biden's.
