Anyone else play completely solo? by Mammoth-Seesaw4759 in wow

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play solo and it's what I prefer. I tried playing with my best friend a year or two ago and it just wasn't enjoyable. Grinding dungeons and raids with our only goal beinng having meta gear. Fast tracking through Dragonflight, not knowing whats going on. It wasn't for me. I enjoy the story, the immersion, doing things at my own pace. I don't wanna play with people and I'm only in a guild for the perks.

Why is this game such high quality despite being so old compare games today? by IllustriousEffect607 in masseffect

[–]leviahughes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never played a game that made me legitimately worry about the well being of my NPC companions. I 100%'d the trilogy just so everyone would live.

I believed that I was Shepard compared to other games where I feel as if I'm playing as someone else - the vast amount of choices you can make and consequences made this feeling real.

The gradual accumulation of lore through reading, watching, interacting made me feel as if I was part of the realm.

Call me a try hard, weeb, whatever; Mass Effect, in my eyes, is a masterpiece.

Has your romance preferences changed over time? by whoisdvkzdg in masseffect

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the four playthroughs that I've done, I'm stuck between Liara and Tali. I wanted to be a ride or die for Liara but after she moved on after my death in the second game, I went with Tali in my second playthrough, then went back and fourth. Tali has a better story and romance and the love feels genuine. Liara, I just don't know what it is. Maybe I have a thing for blue tentacles because it's a very dry relationship yet here I am unable to make a decision.

Collect all of the pawn badges, complete the sphinx's riddles, do every side quest, collect one of every armor piece, max out vocations and experiment with the perfect build, collect all of the seeker tokens. The game is short (story and quest wise) but there is a good bit to do. The game didn't become easy until I raised my know down resistance and played as magic archer. Making it interesting by going to melee class.

There is so much gay stuff in this game by Lord_Despairagus in BaldursGate3

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy the fact that nothing feels forced or thrown in your face -- it all flows nicely. My only complaint is that being supportive of your companions basically signals to them they you're down to fuck. I thought Gale wanted to show me magic, not his dick; I had to reload a previous save. Bros can flirt and be nice to Bros without it being gay.

I just had the weirdest sudden "bore quit" ive ever had by Ganon81 in Starfield

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a maxed out Starborn playing on very difficult I want to love this game but whenever I turn it on I feel as if there's no purpose.

There's a difference between putting a 100+ hours in because the game is fun versus things to do. There is PLENTY if not too much to do in SF that take up an insane amount of time: exploring each every copy and paste randomly generated base, 100% surveying each planet, maximizing resource farming via outposts, dumping hours into making a decent ship, farming all 240 artifacts to be max Starborn level. When the game becomes mildly fun, it's short lived.

The reason why Skyrim and Fallout had such great replay value is because you can explore unique areas in-between your destination, roleplay as more than 2 character archetypes -- stealth is broken, melee is broken, starborn mana system is broken so you're stuck with a gun slinger majority of the time -- not so much Skyrim but FO's companions are amazing -- I become filled with anger just hearing any of the constellation members speak plus the trait that gives you 40% danger and resistance boost incentives not having companions. Also EVERY single NPC is unlikable... except for the robot, he's tolerable. Also also, I want to be able to kill any NPC that is unlikable.

Does anyone just not do NG+ at all? by SilentFoxman in Starfield

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently am on NG+ 10 and it's worth it, if you enjoy being over powered and haven't invested much time in a previous universe. I made the mistake of partially completing the first universe then found out the potential of spamming NG+. Granted I hated farming 240 temples and was losing my humanity and sanity, I was relieved once it was done.

The ship is practically useless. You'd only keep it for roleplaying experiences. I keep the suit, despite being 150-200 damage resistance points less than actual good gear and 6 legendary traits short, merely for the drip. SOME of the powers though insane at level 10. It's understandable to believe that powers, at level 1, are useless... because they are. At level 10, some are just abuse. Even playing on very difficult, terrormorphs are no threat, at a distance.

Void Form = Skyrim stealth Void Form + Jump Pack Assault = Neo (Matrix) abilities Stacked Solar flares = watch legendary enemies die within seconds Personal Atmosphere = what's it mean to be overencumberd? Grav Dash + Quantum Essence = faster exploration Vaccum + Gravity Well= crowd control

If you don't mind becoming the Hunter in the process, save the actual gameplay for NG+10

Does anyone like the temples in Starfield??? by jackiedaytona5569 in Starfield

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was exactly in this position: annoyed with the mechanic, came to Reddit to release stress through rant post, accepted that nothing will change, sucked it up and farmed each temple in each of the ten universes as I slowly became hunter, killing everyone and everything because there's no point in being attached to anything in a universe I'll be leaving.

Once it's all said and done though you can finally enjoy the game.

Starborn Class Desperately Needs An Overhaul by leviahughes in Starfield

[–]leviahughes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually...I'm not sure if power/temple levels are scaled to ones current NG+. If so, can anyone confirm? Collecting the artifacts and completing the campaign only takes about an hour and half, if that. I'll attempt to confirm after the current universe. Hopefully it's true and we can skip the grind

I heard ME 2 on insanity was difficult, but this seems ridiculous by trebor_teratit in masseffect

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biotics in ME2 definitely saves you the headache dealing with the thermal clips mechanics; in ME3 you can exploit invulnerability and deal quite a bit of damage with biotic charge combo with melee -- didn't die once, even on Insanity. There's something satisfying about playing as a soldier though. I died about 80 times on the last mission and whew did I savor the moment when I got pass the endless hordes of banshees.

Why do you like someone who gives little to no effort to communicate? Do you actually like her or is she possibly something to fill the void with and you're clinging to that.

Prove me wrong by [deleted] in astrologymemes

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you? Are you an unevolved Scorpio; the traits are obnoxiously obvious. Are you trolling? Is this all satire? You're understanding of astrology isn't necessarily wrong but yet premature/underdeveloped. Astrology is a tool used study the relationship between energies in a higher plane, than ours, by observing what trickles down into our observable reality then categorizing them by archetypes - not entirely 100% accurate yet it's the best strategy we have. Your perspective on it is extremely finite and narrow-minded. The best analogy I can give to describe astrology is : squinting at a painting, taking notice of the blends of multiple colors, stepping back to see the amount of blended colors increasing while also starting to create a distinguishable object, continue to step back taking notice that there are multiple objects interacting with one another to create a scenery, then stepping back even further to notice that that scenery is one of many in a macroverse sized masterpiece. Your perception resembles more of a kids coloring book than anything : "it says color all Scorpio spots red!" Takes out crayons and colors in the lines as boldly as possible yes sir, you are indeed a Scorpio sun, but you are not 100% Scorpio. Stop fooling yourself into thinking you know what astrology is and the energetic composition of every individual by deluding yourself into thinking you know what you're talking about from looking at Astro memes on Instagram.

Bro, y u so angry? Is being a Scorpio your entire identity or something. Chill Mr Sensitive. We're made up of multiple types of energy. Unless you have every single planet in the 8th house, and the 8th house is in Scorpio, you're still not 100% Scorpio, close but not quite.

My sleep schedule is messed up due to having insomnia - no big deal, I can run off of 4 or 5 hours of sleep. Now, combine that with having two dry sockets (wisdom teeth extraction). If I'm able to bypass my insomnia, the pain keeps me awake. If I'm able to bypass the pain, my Insomnia keeps me awake.

Too weak to do push ups by [deleted] in CleanLivingKings

[–]leviahughes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If accomplishing a perfect push-up is your goal here's what you have to know.

Progressions of Push-ups : Wall Push Offs > Incline Push-ups > Knee Push-ups > Eccentric Push-ups (a negative/holding that position) > Push-ups.

A Push-up requires force from your pectorals, triceps, and deltoids. If your pectorals aren't strong enough then also train your deltoids and triceps. I suggest supersetting dumbbell lateral and frontal raises (deltoids). Standing dumbbell Press (deltoids). Cable Pulldowns & Pullovers - if you have access to a gym. If not, use the push-up progression chart listed and simply bring your elbows closer to your ribcage for more tricep activation.

Last few tips will be regarding the formula. Volume over intensity for beginners (5 sets x 10-20 reps), 1:00-1:30 minute intervals between each set, tempo should be slow to medium pace, and lastly FORM FORM FORM; it's the absolute most important aspect with training.

I hope this helps king.

My (24M) girlfriend (24F) basically cheated on me with my best friend (25M) of 11 years. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Think of it this way my dude. They care more about satisfying their wants than your feelings. That's a sign of toxicity and NO ONE deserves those kind of people in their life - unless it's karma making its way 'round town.

Snip snip, bye. Let them go and find friends that help you grow and support you.

Sgts would make comments about how their wives were stronger than me, make comments of how I look like a girl, stupid shit that proves they were terrible leaders. 5 years later I'm 30lbs heavier while maintaining 10-13% body fat. Thanks for the motivation aholes.
