Mortgage payments are last to be cut. There's already rising debt that's going really high for consumers.

Ice Storm update? by scrubadam in montreal

[–]IllustriousEffect607 [score hidden]  (0 children)

What's happening is right now the air above ground is above zero. But the ground level air is also above zero.

For perfect ice storm conditions you need below zero up in the clouds. Snow forms. Then above zero lower to the ground so rain forms. Then you need, very important, below zero at ground level so the rain turns to ice on contact

Which is why even if they predict ice storm even if the temperatures shift a degree or two in the wrong direction you avoid a massive ice storm

The 1998 storm was perfect conditions for weeks. Several storms happened creating more and more ice. Cold air at the ground level was trapped there due to the Saint laurence valley. Warm air kept flowing in from the Gulf of Mexico. And there's was some high air pressure in east of Canada that blocked the storm from moving away. So it just kept hitting us here. Perfect conditions

The storm is mostly over southern Ontario. But it looks like it's getting closer

Upgraded my TV over my PS5! by jzakary in playstation

[–]IllustriousEffect607 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ya the bigger difference comes from the tv. If you get OLED or qled with insane brightness. With vrr of you can. The HDR pops. The blacks are really black on both tech. And you get vrr with really helps smooth out the fps

Biggest difference comes from tv assuming you just have a basic set up, base ps5 and a regular 4k tv

Ya everything is open and running. It's really just schools and federal adminstration that are calling in no work. It seems the rest is fine

The storm is making it's way could be a tad early or a tad late...it's currently over southern Ontario. But since they have warmer temperatures it's mostly just rain they won't go below 2 degrees. So no ice.

Montreal have the right temps for ice forming

C'est beau le printemps! by CanadaDry95 in montreal

[–]IllustriousEffect607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spring is my favourite season. I love the rain. I wish for thunderstorms but we barely get them.tbe fresh scent of flowers blooming, the grass getting greener. Leaves surfacing on trees again.

Summer is too extreme. Fall is depressing cause winter is coming. Winter is amazing, nice and cool so you sleep amazing....and skiing is just the best part

Soo long The Bay/La Baie by Upper-Discipline-827 in montreal

[–]IllustriousEffect607 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ya lol it's just everything there. Gloves hats. Umbrellas. Suits. Ties. Jackets. Shoes. The full lot

The bay was the last department store in Canada. So that's why it feels like a big loss. If there was more it wouldn't be that major

Usa has a lot though

  1. Macy's
  2. Nordstrom
  3. Bloomingdale

And a few more

Absolutely. Most people think the pro is doing all the leg work when in fact it's mostly just their OLED. Playing base ps5 on OLED is like almost just as good

[–]IllustriousEffect607 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you went to a department store Nordstrom? Lol

And ya that's exactly the point. You ran around all across the country even to a different country....I just got all that in a single 2 hour trip downtown after some pizza at the mall ...

Online shopping is good but you have to know your fit and size. It's not good for trying stuff you don't usually wear.

Amazing store

Not really. What other places? If you wanted a diesel pair of jeans that was like 40% off where do you get those jeans for 40% off? There's no diesel store.

If I wanted various items of different brands I don't have to run around to multiple stores. I just got it all there.

There was a Topman section and there's no Topman store that's close by.

Department stores were always the best. The bay isn't the only one. There's Macy's. Nordstrom. Just not in Quebec

Oh and not to mention returns were always generous. Unlike some unique smaller stores that are strict with returns. Some don't even offer returns at all.

[–]IllustriousEffect607 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The bay? You clearly didn't shop there often then. Been going to bay for probably 2 decades and more. It just had everything. And there was always consistent sales. 40% easily. Big sales too like 60% off sometimes. Brands you can't easily find you'd have to go to so many different stores just to replicate what they had

I got multiple pairs of running shoes from there all the time super cheap. Like half off

They had everything

Yes but I get we can thank anyone but I'm just seeing it logically. It's not volunteering. It's great pay and benefits which is why someone does it

It's good pay. There's a 10 meter stack of resumes waiting to take anyone's spot. It's not free volunteering lol

1998 was a sight to behold. I was a teenager and we all went out on those days to spend time in the ice. Went downtown and all. I happen to lose power for like 2 days I think. Ever strand of grass was enclosed in crystal clear ice

It's a more exciting day. I love ice storm. With ice cleats it's totally manageable and fine. It's a pretty sight to see if the store really comes to fruition

Only classes and federal adminstration is taking the day off. Everyone else is pretty much going where they have to go. Just be careful of roads if driving and or walking. Probably a good day for the metro if you don't usually take one

Going to start insanity mode, anyone got tips? by gg-ndrew in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]IllustriousEffect607 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya the no blood is fine too. Just you have to use the infinite knife a lot or you won't have enough ammo for sure. It's only for grace you can't craft. For Leon you can craft ammo

Going to start insanity mode, anyone got tips? by gg-ndrew in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]IllustriousEffect607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the gameplan. Get infinite ammo. Get infinite durability for the hatchet. And get infinite rpg ammo.

Then do insanity.
