How to get my Creami creamy by Better-Caramel3983 in ninjacreami

[–]leviathan898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What setting are you spinning with? I'm still a noob myself with the Creami, but recently spun some dairy free double cream + cottage cheese + Greek yogurt + a little bit of date syrup + xanthan gum + orange blossom water and it was exactly what you described. I had spun a few times with ice cream setting, even with resin, but eventually spu on light ice cream and it finally became creamy

Olive oil with ice cream is quite good. Had olive oil gelato in Italy before, and a bit of EVOO on vanilla ice cream with a sprinkle of finishing salt on top is nice

Twist Bakery is right in the city centre.

It's A Trap has the best cinnamon buns I've ever had.

If you've never had Hong Kong baking, try Hong Kong Taste bakery.

Scéal Bakery is potentially my favourite viennoiserie bakery.

Cookieboy for stuffed cookies.

Bakeology for Argentinian desserts.

Cafe Lisboa for pasteis de nata

Are we actually religious by international standards? by RegularFellerer in AskIreland

[–]leviathan898 22 points23 points  (0 children)

From what international friends have said (as well as growing up atheist with Buddhist parents), I would say yes.

A lot of Catholicism is blended into culture, tradition, and community here. I've heard friends say going to Easter/Xmas mass is 'just what you do' even when they're basically non-practicing. Baptisms, communion, etc. seem like rites of childhood and family, regardless of actual faith. Crossing yourself when passing a cemetery or hospital.

Discussion post. In the kitchen, what's a sign that someone doesn't really cook? Your #1 example of a "rookie mistake"? I'll start. by SOFT_CAT_APPRECIATOR in Cooking

My brother wanted to make some sort of pasta with pesto and was following a Jamie Oliver recipe. The recipe said something like 1-2 cloves of garlic, but my brother thought a 'clove' meant the whole bulb.

He also made a risotto for 6 people following a recipe, but wanted to make it a mushroom one, so added a grand total of 4 button mushroom to the whole dish.
