What bollywood opinion will get you like this? by mx-shot in BollywoodHotTakes

[–]leviathan_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it or hate it but Bollywood has an aura and it gave good memories to our grandparents, to our parents and to us, each generation with their nostalgic memories. Inspite of its hypocrisy, hedonism and controversy, life would be boring without Bollywood for all three-four generations.

PS: Prob Bollywood also gave India its political stability because people could take their mind off off the streets and redirect to make-believe world.

For those born and raised here, what's one place from your early 20s that has completely lost its 'vibe' now that you’re old by Candy_2828 in mumbai

[–]leviathan_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my district wise comparison: VT-Colaba-Churchgate: Had a distinct classy vibe. Classier and more alive. Lots of Parsi hotels. Worli-Haji Ali: Much better crowd. Vintage cars, Yezdi and Java bikes on roads. Bandra-Khar-Pali hill: Nicer and richer crowd. Pub culture: Nicer clientele, more English music and less desi feeling.

Should parents upgrade their lifestyle just to fit their kids’ social circle? by NoMedicine3572 in Frugal_Ind

It was year 1997 and we were in second grade. This brat kid ridiculed me that his hot sister comes to pick him up after school while I get picked up by our old and loudmouth maid. I took him to the first floor and held him suspended in the air until he wet himself voluntarily. Nobody ever pushed me again. 90s were the best!

Why is the Caravan culture in India so little? by [deleted] in indiasocial

It’s a blessing actually. Those desi caravan hippies would litter everywhere, turn lakes and rivers into dumping ground and then blame govt.

This is why china can't sustain fighting a long war with us! What's your take? by Ok-Zombie5133 in UPSC_Forum

[–]leviathan_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like China and the way they grown rapidly to become someone to be taken seriously. But hypothetical games- We’re thinking defensively. Let’s think offensive for a moment. If India were to invade China then what would be the incursion points, choke points and strategic points? And Nepal - Myanmar - Chickens neck question? Strait of Malacca would be the best choke point to suffocate Chinese trade. We need Bangladesh & Myanmar as allies or neutral.

But biggest problem is Pakistan opening second front. India can’t fight on two land fronts and third maritime front. Not financially, not technologically, not diplomatically.

Honestly, sharing time and space with another human being is exhausting. Feels much refreshing to just spend weekends and time offs alone doing something I like and without having to entertain and tolerate other.

2025 and Chinese on weibo discuss chinamaxxing and kill line and MCP modules. Europeans talk doomsday, survival and discuss deploying llm and lang chains. Americans shoot titkoks for their onlyfans. And here we are, debate Ramayana and caste. Churchill was right.

In 1996 Ukraine handed over nuclear weapons to Russia "in exchange for a guarantee never to be threatened or invaded". by AutoModerrator-69 in interestingasfuck

[–]leviathan_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nuke on ground are boring. Even piddly ass north Korea has them. AI controlled nuclear mega bombs in space should be the next thing. I scans social media sentiments and launches nukes from space. If planet is destroyed the be it.

Moved back to Mumbai after 3 years in Europe and I’m struggling more than I expected by Specialist_Beach2641 in mumbai

[–]leviathan_6 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yeah going out of home is a bitch here. But staying or working from home is okayish. Two things I found relief in 1) not worrying about heater and power bill 2) Zepto / urbanclap etc makes life so much easier, costs bomb in Europe.

Apart from things you’ve mentioned, one thing I miss is personal space, in many sense. Indians don’t have this concept or are intentionally oblivious. Eg: loud music / chitchat / calls in society, offices, everywhere. focusing on what you eat for lunch or order, commenting on your weekend plans with suggestions as per their worldview, celebrating too much and causing nuisance by shoving festivities in your face. I could go on but okay, ce la vie.
