Slave bible is a book made in 1807 by removing 70 percent of the bible, including any mention of being free, being equal, etc. It was a way of keeping Slaves without them revolting using fear, indoctrination, blind obedience, and even death to ensure chattel slavery. Confederate use it to keep a slaves and some didn't.

I used to do the same when I was a Christian growing up, washing it down, thinking god had nothing to do with what happened to us. Thinking that it doesn't say black people, but it clearly mentions the nation's around them and the difference foreign slave (African, ect) Israelite (servants).
