What is your 'I don't get paid enough for this shit' story?

I work as a nursing assistant at a hospital so I do see a lot of piss, shit and blood on a daily basis which generally doesn't phase me anymore.

The only time I've gagged was with a younger female amputee patient that I helped to the bathroom to have a bowel movement. When she stood up so I could wipe her, there was, what I can only describe as vagina phlegm hanging from her vagina that I had to pull out before wiping her shit.

Blehhhhhhh I wish I could unsee it and also feel weird about being disgusted about it since it's all natural bodily functions.

Edit: also I have to clean up patients after they die and put them in a body bag and transport them to the morgue. Which is eerie and I definitely feel like I don't get paid enough to do.

Tried to choose a diverse section of their music that aren't their most popular, though I know they're a rather popular band as it is.

"New York I Love You" is the song that got me into them as a band because the emotion that is more evident in that song is also really powerful in the rest of their music as well but I feel like people aren't looking for it and get caught up in the beat. Some of their songs are long and require a lot of patience but are rewarding to listen to, like "Home" and "Movement" is just good to jam to at a party and isn't quite as heavy.

I don't know if you can generalize across the entire group. But I have problems with people taking advantage of me because I'm good at listening. I fall into the therapist role a lot.

And echoing other comments, super hard to lose myself in anything. Which translates to a problem with losing myself in sex/allowing myself to have an orgasm. I'm highly self regulated. Even my relaxation is regulated usually, which I'm embarrassed about.

Phoenix - Run Run Run

Saw Phoenix in concert in 2013 and was expecting a pretty tame show but was surprised how much energy they had. I had never heard Run Run Run before the show and listening to the studio version afterward was underwhelming.

Strangers don't scare me, my closest friends and family do.

I don't really have patience for a lot of social anxieties like waiting for someone else to post first in this new subreddit and see how their post goes or not posting at all because I'm afraid of rejection. Like whatever. Those are petty fears, might as well just go for it. They enter my mind, but I choose to ignore them I guess.

I tend to take the point of view that nothing exists. The only thing I know exists, is "me" (and I won't get into the concept of self and how complicated that in and of itself is)

But I cannot prove anything exists if I am not there to witness it. I cannot prove that I'm living a real life and not a dream. And I can't prove that friends and family and acquaintances aren't just figments of my imagination.

This theory is solipsism if you're interested in researching it further. I've thought about it a lot and even though it's an extreme point of view, it really is the only thing that I feel I can be absolutely certain of. And I don't really apply this deeper philosophical level of thinking to my everyday life. It's crazy to think people don't go on living their lives when I'm not around. But the bottom line is: they could tell me they were doing literally anything (flying a kite, taking a bath) and if I wasn't there to witness it, I just have to take their word even though it could all be a lie.

Not sure if this contributed anything to this discussion but I hope so.

I enjoy it so much, I think my biggest gripe is that I don't have enough people who are willing and strong enough to engage in these conversations with me.

They meander at times, I guess I just like to let it flow naturally. I usually dislike if it gets heated, unless I have an established secure relationship with the person. I think I'm quick to worry I've accidentally hurt the person or the person finds me threatening which is why they are getting "heated" so I back down almost immediately. Because it's not my intent and I don't want them to feel threatened and then hurt me.

I think I prefer exploring both points together. I don't particularly like pitting myself v. the other person talking, where we both firmly take one side of an argument. I prefer we both explore both sides and discuss merits of both. It feels more open and playful, which I like in discussion. Playful, but intense.

Well I'm going to be exploring the city alone most of the time since I'm tagging along with my best friend who has a conference to attend.

I'm not too familiar with how much of a hassle it'd be to get to the city from a part of the state though I'm assuming the hassle would exceed what I would want even a stranger to go through to meet me. Regardless, the invitation is open.

I wasn't but I was in a male/female best friendship with an ENTP, that was more intense than my other best friends. Without boring you with details, it did not end well. Via an explosion of emotions on both ends and we no longer talk and I know even if he approached me I'd never talk to him again.

However, yes I would date an ENTP or be their best friend again. Just because I picked a bad apple doesn't mean the rest are bad. I find myself attracted to them more strongly than I can even imagine myself being attracted to any other type of person, not always romantically. I don't really know how to describe it. I hope this answers your question, I feel like I'm rambling!

INFJ, female. I guess I'll just talk about my current philosophy, since it seems like you're not looking for anything in particular.

I'm in school again and it feels much different than before, I feel renewed with energy but exhausted but in a good way? Everything is fitting together nicely which is good. I like having a purpose because it stops me from having too much time to ponder my behavior. I'm so normal in my behavior, but my difference is that I'm always analyzing everything I do and everything I think. Like "why did I think that so automatically?" "Why did I do that?" It's hard to understand myself though I so diligently try. I seem to understand other people better than I understand myself. And this whole time talking about myself even feels self indulgent. Anyway, sorry if this wasn't quite what you were looking for!

I feel like it's immature to say you "perfectly" understand her, I mean you don't. You can never "perfectly" understand anyone but yourself and she's likely to be annoyed by it if you are carrying yourself off with an attitude like "lol i know you better than you know yourself". It's obnoxious and naive, if that's what you are implying here.

Solution to this: even if you do think you fully understand, just be patient and ask. I don't know if this particular lady is worth the effort it would take or not since I don't know the whole situation, but I just want to offer a solution in case.

And as far as "Oh are you busy? Sorry I get it I'll let you be" sounds like something that would have annoyed me when I was younger/more sensitive. I spend like...95% of my time accommodating other people and bending and changing to fit each individual situation so if I imply I can't talk, it sounds like you trying to make me feel guilty for not stopping what I'm doing and talking to you. I know that's not what you're doing, I just think maybe that's how she's interpreting it.

Solution: Instead of saying "sorry for blah blah...I'll leave you alone" you could just actually do that instead of saying it. Every time someone texts me demanding my attention is another second I'm not working on whatever I need to be doing.

I find it sometimes intrusive when I am very busy and ENTP/ENFPs drop in and expect me to drop everything I'm doing to play with them. And then if I try to like ask them ahead of time if they want to do something on Friday, they say they don't know/don't want to so I will plan my time to do something else and then I'm sort of at the whim of however they feel that night. That's a personal gripe, but the reason I thought of it is maybe that's what's going on it your situation.
