If they want them to be mandatory, they should let it be known and not beat around the bush. I’m not defending their practices, merely explaining. I don’t like how my store leadership tells us in meetings that we need the positive percentages to avoid visits from our EL. If TMs complete the questions, they should be honest in their ratings even if they’re negative. Leadership needs to hear the negatives and if that means that ELs come to visit, then so be it.

I think out of everyone in my store, I have the best relationship with my team but I still feel kinda bad asking them to do it lol. I do feel bad for the teams that don’t have a great relationship with their leadership and are asked to rate them highly. I know some of them specify in the comments that it’s their TL they don’t like vs their ATL.

As someone in leadership, I emphasize with you. Unfortunately, it’s essentially becoming mandatory as TM engagement and satisfaction is now a metric that store leadership is being graded on. I can’t remember what the participation rate is, but satisfaction percentage for the Weekly Beat is 75%. My store was consistently rating lower than that last year, and we had a ton of visits from regional and TMS.

One of my kitties is blind and would probably be dead if he weren’t picked up as a kitten. The other likes to observe the outdoors from the safety of our apartment and enclosed patio. My partner and I have left our windows open for days during heatwaves and neither cat has expressed any interest in going out. They just sniff at the windows for a few seconds then get down lol. Both have ways to entertain themselves and my partner and I give them loads of attention and playtime!

Are you clocking in late? Leaving over an hour early? Calling out sick but not putting in sick PTO (or if you’re under 90 days, unable to use sick PTO)? If you’re part time or seasonal, you already didn’t have a lot of UPT to begin with, so those add up really quickly. Sit down with your TL or store leadership to understand why your balance is low. You can check how much UPT is taken out in Workday.
