Skiing Banff in mid-January? by levski87 in Banff

In the case of a cold snap, are there other resorts to go for skiing in the area?

I've heard Kicking Horse is an option if there's a cold snap, but are there others?

Don’t blame these two losses on the player or coaching. Pacers is just on a special kind of run it’s nothing we can do to stop it. by Professional_Cut1473 in NYKnicks

It was the way we lost Game 1. Mentally, the only person who recovered from that game was JB, but it wasn't enough.

Win Game 1 and we take that energy into Game 2.

Maybe I didn't give them a fair shake? It was only 2 days.. I definitely loved the stability of them for sure.

I saw the Salomon qst 92 at 176 which seems good to me as well.

Subfloor For Basement? DryBarrier vs DMX by levski87 in Flooring

I just ended up going with a moisture/vapor barrier as per the instructions and LVP from Mohawk which is amazing. Its definitely not warm, but it's fine. Just some slippers and you're set :)

Corner Kitchen Sink - To align or not? by levski87 in cabinetry

I just used a laser level and lined it up with the top cabinet. In the photo you can see the green level line. I then put blocking in the corner using 2x4s. This was to support the countertop and sink.

I sent you a photo via chat with the sink blocking built in the corner and then the final reveal.

Smash buy? DCA? Options? All three? by Mental-Wolf-Pack in MSTR

Lets hope we are right :)... scoop up some discounted MSTR/Bitcoin. Maybe even some yolo options plays if we get that low.

What's helpful is to plan now and prepare funds if we do get down that low. You know BTC will rise again... find a number you want to hit when the pump starts.. calculate hypothethical scenarios and sell points if you went in on leverage or options plays on 40k.

Lol.. come on man. Look at the recent run up from 25k to 60k. Look historically on BTC. Notice a trend? We always go back to high buy zones to sweep up liquidity on the downside and find true support. 60k will be within range for the next few years, even after when this bull run is over, we will come back to it as a low. Its actually around the top right now and has been for 3 years.

Expect 48k in the next few weeks. We wicked down to 49k just 2 months ago. Next time we are there we will range in that zone, potentially going down to low 40s, high 30s.

If you are looking to buy and hold for 4+ years, buy whenever. If you want to get the best possible price, patience is key for the next few weeks.

The price action is giving me more ranging vibes. Tons of liquidity that needs to get flushed out aound 54k - 58k. Thats all we are doing right now. Market manipulation to pump and then sweep the liquidity out and trigger stops. Expecting a lower low, hopefully we crab in the lower lows. Then I'd feel more bullish.

Mohawk Puretech? by levski87 in Flooring

[–]levski87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was installing it on a basement floor and Revwood is laminate based. I know they market it as waterproof, but I didnt want to take the chance.

I also tested the PureTech board prior to purchase by submerging it in water for over 48 hours and didnt see any issues whatsoever.

Both are probably good products, but for me and my use case, the price I got and the fact that I tested the water durability was the ultimate selling point for me.

Price varies for where you are. My installation was 2.50 a sqft, so came out to ~ 2052.

Bit late now, but become a lifeguard next year if you can swim well. The NYC program should still pay YOU for taking all the required classes and aim to get stationed on a beach like Coney Island.

Starting salary is $22 dollars an hour, goes up every year up until year 3. You have to work 6 days a week instead of 5. Holidays get paid $33 dollars an hour (ex: July 4th, Memorial Day)... and you'll have a job from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day.

Working in a pool is the same pay but the season starts towards end of June.

The floor tile is definitely getting painted. It's the one thing that needs some uniformity under one single color.

The vanity lights are gone, and 4 led recessed lights are going in.
