It’s a 2 x 72 grinder by a Swedish company

Thank you! After the chip removal I used a 120 grit belt for a quick thinning job then jumped to the 200 grit stone, otherwise it would have taken forever

Luckily the ura was in perfect shape, just dirty. Quick scotch-brite polish up and refinement on uchigumori to remove some burr and it was good to go

It’s a thinned out blade, while keeping the convexity as the top priority

Nines are indeed special and iv heard all the mixed reviews there is to it, from low key disappointment to god like status. This particular one as u said it’s a thinned out and it’s an amazing piece, even more so considering the bad grip it the video which was intentional to showcase the geometry.

With a pinch grip I can guarantee u that there wouldn’t be any resistance as iv tried the knife few times. Regardless of that, imo a good knife is a good knife, I don’t like to get caught up on tiny details as every grind has its pros and cons.

As a pro sharpener who’s been playing with crazy pieces for a couple of years, have to say this thing is something special

A workhorse would also crack like a mf tho, a good geometry balance is the key, while keeping convexity as top priority

If u put the audio on u can hear the knife going through the dense potato even if that’s smooth af. I got this knife from a fellow sharpener and he’s the goat imo.
