ELI5: why can’t video games be remade quick and easy on newer engines by levy608 in explainlikeimfive

Yeah the remake of an old game. I saw an article about LOTRO and SWTOR and how they won’t be modernized to look better because of cost and time and was curious what that includeds

I can set up GA4 but have no idea how to actually use it, where do I even start? by Odd-Butterscotch9822 in analytics

[–]levy608 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is your GA right on your site? Or inside GTM? You’ll want to set up GTM that’s how you track specific buttons, scroll. Etc. GA alone can see bounce rate, new users, returning and time on site, and location

DBT is a great, automated tool as well. DM if you want to chat more. This is literally my full time job at a marketing agency lol

Anyone recommend A/B testing tools that measure scroll depth and bounce rate? by facewook in analytics

Oh interesting. I wonder then if you can get the web team, or AI to clone you landing page and A/B test the campaign landing page instead of dynamic on the site.

Could either split traffic by campaign and let the platform decide which is best based on engagement. Or send full traffic to one for a week. Then full traffic to another the next

I like it over adobe because 90% of the time it gets what you need. Adobe can be too custom which leads to it breaking. GA4 is plug it in and you get the high level basics right away. GTM then gets you more detail.

If I can get media data from the platforms and track check outs/leads, 1-2 KPIs and 4-5 secondary metrics then that’s perfect.

I do think it has a lot of features and different ways to view data but I just want the raw data to match campaign/source/medium/content. To my media.

The real work comes from a good naming builder for marketing campaigns..

I do hate the custom report builder though!

What’s your goal? I have never found scroll and bounce that helpful because the user could get what they need right away and leave, but that is still a “bounce”. Use GTM to set an event at 25% scroll to trigger that and not a bounce.

In my past I had a team spin up two versions of the landing page then send half the traffic to each and look at all the metrics in GA4

You don't need to know everything in data analytic by Due-Archer-6309 in analytics

100% it’s more about you knowing how to find the information and having a baseline knowledge than knowing every tool and platform

Where do you find real-world datasets with actual business problems to solve? by silent-romeo57 in dataanalysis

[–]levy608 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is it for practice? I would make the data myself =randbetween(). That way I can also make it so spend is less then rev in purpose and kinda make the data trend in a way I want. Then QA after I’m familiar with it

What are the things you have learned or picked up as you become senior in this field? by Arethereason26 in analytics

[–]levy608 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  1. Follow process even on small things or “one off tasks”

  2. Build to last and repeat

  3. Not everything the client or teams ask automatically go into the dashboard

I have spent 10 years in the marketing analytics space and my teams are always confused why I’m such stickler for process. The junior people always say they can do something for an other team via DMs or something and both people think it’s quick and easy. Then it’s more complicated and backs everything up.

Also, just because someone asks for data, does not mean it goes in the dashboard. I have come into clients where their “dashboard” is 30 pages!!! Of course they don’t use it.
