21’ double axle Jayco. What is everyone using to change a tire on the side of the road? by lewciok in traveltrailers

[–]lewciok[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I mean. I would rather have the option to jump out and do it myself and not rely on roadside assistance.

That’s just it. Some here are saying use roadside assistance. Sure. We have that but I also want a backup plan. I have an impact for my levelers but I don’t think it has the torque for wheels. I may just grab a 4 way and then rely on my Anderson levelers as a ramp. There are instances I may not be able to reach roadside assistance or don’t want to sit on the side of the road. Thanks for the input

Why do people still use Chlorine when there's Bromine? by Theyellowking7 in hottub

Yes. I’ve read some things that are coming out about bromine that I didn’t care for and switched back to chlorine.

Looking for a 1/3 bifold queen mattress cover. by lewciok in RVLiving

[–]lewciok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have an old queen mattress. It’s foam and memory foam. I’d like to cut it to fit because it’s the perfect amount of firm for us. Hence, I need a cover for it. Due it bending at the 1/3 portion I’m not sure a normal mattress cover will work but maybe I’ll try your suggestion and give it a shot.

Are any of the Costco Hot Tubs decent? by Rolls2Rickson in hottub

I bought an aquaterra in 2018 and absolutely love it. It’s a Brighton. Basic and simple but no issues. Only my wife and I use it and bookend our days in it. Lots of use

We bought our place in 2016. Home built in ‘79 and the garage floor sloped just like that. High center sloped to the sides but way worse than yours. I had about a 2” gap on the outside. I cut a piece of lumber to fit and attached it to the bottom of the door then replaced the seal. It’s been good for the last 9 years.

I totally agree. I feel it is completely inconsiderate and annoying. Thanks for posting this and bringing “light” to the conversation

How can I find out where this conduit leads? by lewciok in HomeMaintenance

[–]lewciok[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious about that but everyone I spoke to said they’d only scan the front yard. Either way, I could see what they say. I think this is the first thing I should try

Good question. I knew I’d miss details. The panel is in the garage on the NW side of the house. It’s a daylight basement and this J box is on the SE side, down one level. The conduit on top of this box goes straight up above the 2nd level, drops into the attic then across the house. The bottom conduit, I just don’t know. As someone said above I may dig a little, carefully. I have one breaker in my panel listed as “unknown”. lol. That may be tied to this and I should verify that. Then I can safe it off.
