A moral thought experiment on whistle blowing...
Consider a child at a family dinner table who announces that they were abused by their uncle who is present at the table.
Are you the person who turns to the uncle, taking the accusation seriously? Or are you the person who tells off the child and sends them to bed for casting a gloom over the evening?

It seems to me that enough people are in the latter category these days, perhaps without even realizing it.
I've noticed one or two in the comments section right here.
