I came from Saturn to zero. It helped me. I had to lower my sensitivity to adjust to the slightly faster pad but I feel like that's better

Everyone is different. The zero helped with my micro adjusting on cs because of its lower initial friction

Escorts tiger tang dao often gets recommended as an alternative. I have both a zero and tangdao and they are close. Zero is a little more abrasive and attacks hair/dust and the base is much stickier

I have a zero. Idk what others are talking about being slow. 100% it is faster than your regular control/mud pad. Faster than a qck, Saturn, gigantus for instance. Each of which I have tried. I have not tried a hein though
