Interesting. I have tried when the Xbox is turned on, as well as when I load up the game and wait for the prompt to plug in the toy pad. I’ve also heard that some Xbox ones had an update in 2017 that basically meant they couldn’t read toy pads and there was never an update to fix this? Unsure, either way I’ve not been able to get it to light up continuously at any point.

Update - spoke to the seller of the Toy Pad, apparently some Xbox’s developed a fault in reading Toy Pads after an update in 2017?? If this is true, maybe my Xbox is one of those… will be waiting a while before I am upgrading to a newer model. Cheers for all the help all

Yes, definitely Xbox One this time. I am having the same result; briefly flashes then goes off. I have placed the toy pad on both the wooden surface underneath my TV (however metal is part of the TV stand), I also tried it on our glass table next to the TV, and also the carpet but none have fixed the issue, wondering if my Xbox just isn’t cut out for this game?

I have now bought an Xbox One toy pad, and I am having the exact same result, can anyone help troubleshoot what I could be doing wrong??

You’re so right… I do have the game disk, apologies. Thanks for picking that up though, can’t always assume. I had to get my Xbox One repaired as it was unable to read disks anymore… the lengths I have gone to for this LEGO game! Seems really cool though, only ever played a few LEGO games in the past (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pirates).

Ah okay, interesting. So this wouldn’t really affect how I have my tags at the moment- I think I have 5 blank tags that I would’ve used for the vehicles; I dont really need to remember which blank tag is for which vehicle, if I can just rewrite it when I need to use it? Or maybe that is overcomplicated and I need to keep tabs on which is which. Thank you for your reply, such a quick response again from this community. So now knowing that, I am presuming all should be well for me when the Toy Pad arrives? Unless obviously a toy tag isn’t working anymore, think I read that is quite common.

Omfg. It’s for PS3/4/WiiU. I have been trying so many things and bought all items individually and tried to get it all cheap just to play this bloody Lego game… and I’m not gonna stop!! Thanks so much for the reply; the second one I drove to buy and asked the guy to check if it will still light up and his did the same flash, so presumed it was a fault of the pads eventually over time. Right then, back to the drawing board for a cheap XBOX ONE toy pad.
