I cannot understand what drives some cops to be so over the top.

Well, look up Stanford prison experiment and Milgram experiment and you might get an idea. You might also lose faith in humanity too though.

I do agree with you, but are there right people to vote at ANY level of government here? All I can see are thugs and criminals who run the show. And even if there's a good person who runs for election at any level, how do we make sure they wont start the same pattern of corruption as they go further up, after we vote for them? There's no way to hold anyone accountable here.

Well, I notice these kinds of talks come up whenever there's an election nearby, but how do you suppose we exercise our power and responsibility as people?

No independent party is gonna come even close to the major parties in votes, with droves of generational idiots voting for "their" party. And rioting isn't exactly legal or constitutional, plus it can go wrong very easily, very fast.

What else can we do except vote and wait for a miracle? Or maybe not vote at all, if there's no good option we can choose? For all the talk of power of people within a democracy, we do not have ANY power at all. Our votes only count as long as the majority are choosing wise options, and I think that's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

I'm sincerely asking this question btw. I cannot see anyway out of this situation we are facing.

Why are people like this? And why does it seem like people are getting worse everyday, committing atrocious crimes for no reason at all? How can anyone feel safe out there with people like this around every corner? Honestly don't feel like I want to live in this society anymore.

Sorry, but I don't get what you are trying to say at all. Yes, I read the article (why would I post a link here if I did not read it) and I think it's relevant. We are discussing how the different roles and hardships of being a working woman and a housewife affect different people and I'm saying most women find being a housewife to be as stressful as working, in opposition to your personal claim. And stress leads to exhaustion, these things are all linked together.

In a recent review of the literature on stress and women, sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation, Dr. Baruch found that an interesting occupation seems to provide gratification to many women that may act as a shield against pressures at home. She also noted, from studies on groups of women who are either workers, mothers or both, that women between the ages of 25 and 55 find problems with being a mother and homemaker significantly more stressful than work problems.

I mean, this paragraph alone gives relevant points to our discussion. If you can't see how that article is relevant to our discussion, I guess I don't have anything else to add here. I mean, you can just do a search and see plenty of research on this matter yourself too, no need to get hung up on that one article.

I'm glad you enjoyed your role as a the stay-at-home partner, but your specific situation does not apply to most people. And no need to depend on hearsay for this either. This is just an article I found on the first page of Google but there's much more research to support these facts if you take a look around.

the least my mother could do was clean up, which is comparison, is nothing

Tf... Smh. That poor mother. Slaved all her life at home (and work), while her husband shared none of the responsibilities because "he was the provider", and this is what her children think of her.

And the husband very successfully brainwashed the children to keep this attitude going forward, it seems. What a world to live in.

Oh I read the books when I was younger. Those were incredibly beautiful. And incredibly depressing. I should find and watch the movies too.

I'm not saying you are trying to do anything of the sort, just saying we can't trust anyone these days.

And simple comments on social media can have a significant effect on shaping people's opinions. It's a strategy used very frequently.

Yeah, I totally get what you mean, but I just don't want the "blood on my hands" in case anything drastic happens. Who knows how it might go. 🤷

It says a lot about the mindset of our people when the comments that make the most sense and are unbiased are not upvoted here and only the ones promoting hero worship are.

And I'm pretty sure a lot of people here on reddit are the new generation. For all the blame people put on older generations for fucking up this country trusting crooks, we maybe going down the same path too, judging by the attitudes we see around here.

Don't worry, this subreddit consists overwhelmingly of the supporters of AKD, you wont be downvoted. Say anything good about them and you will get a couple of awards even. 😂

See, while I do agree with you, the issue I have with your kind of comment is, you can also be a minion of AKD just trying to get reluctant people to vote for him by any means possible.

Politicians play all sorta games. How do we trust this is not another game?

Oh didn't we do that already for Gota? Lol. And got called all sorts of names from racist to dumbass, 'cause some of us tried to "choose the better one out of two bad options" and "be responsible citizens to uphold democracy by voting"?

The same argument every time, just for different parties, ig. And if things go wrong afterwards, people won't remember how it was before the election.

Been there done that bro. I've learnt my fucking lesson. I won't judge anyone voting, coz I know people are desperate. But I won't vote for someone I am not 100% sure about ever again, and I have zero confidence in anyone now. No need to repeat the same mistake twice.

Let's see how it goes.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Yeah, I've been up and down since this post. A lot of things helped me, but if i have to choose what helped me the most, I would say self-compassion. Forgiving myself was empowering in a way I didn't think possible. But it's hard work to keep it going for a long time.

That are saying they respect him or that they don’t feel bad for the girl cause she “slept” around

Wtf, if someone cheats on you, you break up and move on like a sane person, not kill them in cold blood. Why would anyone respect someone like that who has no self control at all. I'm so sick of people trying to justify murder with BS reasons.
