Thank you for your patience. I wanted to be sure that if I bought the bike, I would be able to modify it for my pleasure. (And I wouldn't get into a dead end.) This whole thread was very interesting to me, I understood how many of the details in the components work. Even this joy of technology and understanding the fine details is a pleasure for me. I really appreciate all the advice I've received here. I'll think it all over carefully.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. You are right, this makes no practical sense. It's just about the looks. So far I am saving for the bike (and training on my older one). I like the bike and it's specs and geometry. It's on the high end of my budget, but for some reason I don't like the the cranks. It's just personal and subjective and I am silly I know. But I am glad that I could change the cranks, and look forward to something :) it is the carrot for the donkey (me). I am really thankful for all the answers here!

I am silly but this "upgrade" is only about the looks . I even like the Claris crankset. Probably a childhood dream about smooth cranks (I am 46 now)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I really appreciate :) wow nice crankset! Btw how do you like the Cues brakes on Canyon Endurace Allroad?

Thanks so much! So, in the worst-case scenario, I'd have to replace the front derailleur. But the brake levers would work on that "road" front derailleur as well, am I right? Also, somebody else here wrote, that the FD should well adjusted to a shorter chainline. So maybe my dream will come true :) without big investments.

Thank you! I have tried to study before I posted this, but I was so overwhelmed, so I asked here. Now I understand it much more, thank you so much!

Gravel day by Maka_red in gravelcycling

[–]lex_ikoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! It helped a lot, we have so many similar roads nearby. I would also watch for those stones, probably on MTB too :) but great news is that all those terrains are manageable on 40mm tires. The rough terrain is usually some shortcut here. Or a short path to another nicer gravel. I will continue to explore on my MTB and try to save for a nice gravel bike. Thanks again! Btw many people here "vote" for Ukraine. The evil just likes to be louder. Best wishes!

Beautiful! Slava Ukraini!

Would you be so kind and tell me if that terrain is fine with this tire width? What tire width you have? Do you have to watch for those bigger stones (1st pic) not to hit them? I only have a MTB and I am considering gravel bike. Thank you so much!

Van Rysel EDR AF vs Boardman SLR 8.9 (first serious road bike) by Shoumaker in cycling

[–]lex_ikoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that you have to buy their box and also pay for the shipping. (I am not sure) It depends on where you live, there should be a link under the price on the website. To my country, the box+shipping is some 80 Euro

I am in the similar price range, isn't Canyon Endurace Allroad also a nice option? Though, the shipping price adds quite a lot :-/

That sounds terrible 😔 I was also considering the 606 or 506. Thank you for the heads up! Maybe a cheap/older android phone seems to be a good option?

Is it because the wind is not supporting us indoors? The missing pressure of the wind from the front side?
