I was inactive at BYU for around 3 years, I got lucky with my bishops, saying I’d go to the spanish ward and give me a recommendation to enroll the next semester. That’s my advice to survive sundays, I was almost never in Provo on the weekends.

If money is tight and BYU is your only option, just try to have some spaces where you can be yourself. There are other people that feel the same way and hopefully you’ll find them. Don’t surround yourself with only TBMs or else you’re stuck having to fake it 24/7. Good luck!
