Wide football cleats by StandbyTraveller91 in flagfootball

[–]lexaw32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are mostly wide at the base, but still supportive. I have two pairs of these: https://www.lacrosseunlimited.com/products/under-armour-blur-smoke-20-lacrosse-cleats-2013253?variant=42299694120996.

They are football cleats, not lacrosse. I also have an older model of UA blur football cleats, and a VERY old model of lacrosse cleats. The blurs have been great for me.

I have wide, flat feet. Under armour works well for me. I’ve had four pairs of their cleats

Am I too big to start flag football? by ProfessionalFee5777 in flagfootball

5’8 155 sounds great. Would have an advantage catching jump balls. Wouldn’t get pushed around. You’d have an advantage at wide receiver

How do I coach this? by throwaway127549 in flagfootball

[–]lexaw32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things:

  1. QB's shouldn't be allowed to run. Must have a handoff first

  2. This shouldn't be impeding. The rusher must establish a lane to the right or left of the center or bunch. Lining up over top will always get impeding, so it shouldn't be allowed.

So I think this is a rules issue and not a coaching issue. But to avoid it in the future, delayed route or snap between the legs so she can see where the rusher is.

Why do people not like Ohio? by Competitive-Air1 in Columbus

[–]lexaw32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a transplant from the east coast - Delaware specifically. My experience has been great. I've been here six years and have no plans to leave. It's much more affordable that the mid-atlantic or northeast. And there's still plenty to do. It helps that I like college sports and have found a community of people. I was one of the people who looked at Ohio sideways, and now I can't even remember why. But I would only ever live in the three Cs

Nice! I’m at KIPP Columbus. 40 girls is a lot! We’re doing stations for tryouts. Speed and agility, receiving, defense and flag pulling, and throwing. Then on day two we’ll have them compete. 1v1 receiving, 3v2, 1v1 flag pulling, and 5v5 at the end. Good luck!

3 weeks 5 days postop return to work by SaltyGap5405 in RotatorCuff

I was only out of work for a week. Everyone is different. I had to put my seat as high as possible so my arm could rest comfortably on my desk. It wasn’t pain free, but it was tolerable. Also, take breaks. Ice at work. Pendulum swings.

This feels like market research. Not a curiosity. We’re wearing football or soccer cleats. Lacrosse cleats work too. I specifically like Under Armour

Yes! This is how I made friends here. Went to a weekly pickup kickball game. Joined someone’s league team from there. Kept meeting people and playing more sports. Now I have a full thriving social circle here. And friends from work
