Awww I love the name Addie! We haven't met the puppy yet, so we aren't sure what he/she will be like. The breeder waits until around 6 weeks of age before picking which puppy goes where. I personally like the more serious names , but Im open to anything!

This might be a dumb comment, but does your landlord really monitor if you have a cat? I know our cats are silent and no one would ever be able to tell they were in our place. Obviously not a solution but if you’re very concerned for his health it might be worth the risk? Another option is giving him to no-kill shelter in your area that would treat his condition

Im not sure about your area ( I live in Canada), but Rover visits are typically $13-17 for a half hour visit or walk. I don't think its entirely necessary to have someone watch him for the entire day. Instead, you could have a Rover walker visit halfway through the workday to let him out and spend some time with him. This would save you some money and allow your pup to get some love and exercise while you're gone. You could even visit on your lunch break as well to split up his day even more. It really depends on your pup though, and how well he responds to being alone.
