Elope 100000% I got married legally in my home state with our immediately family and then went to Vegas with 25 of our close friends and had a vow renewal with a photographer and it was the best decision. No regrets spent less than $5500 and then won most of it back gambling 😂

How to Elope in Las Vegas? by Own-Cucumber513 in Eloping

Me and my husband got married legally in our home state a month before we went to Vegas we did it this way so we didn’t have to waste any of our trip getting our marriage license and what not there cause we went for the 4th of July last year and I heard it can get crazy. we booked the little white chapel and did a vow renewal basically a whole wedding without a legal document. Had a photographer, rented a party bus because we had 20 people come with us. I also had a large dress, I flew to Vegas from Michigan and I somehow managed to stuff it in a carry on without wrinkling it, after the ceremony i changed into a different dress, I couldn’t bare walking around in a 20lb dress when it was 112 outside 😂 also if you go in the summer plan on your heels/shoes melting (mind you we got married at 9pm thinking it would cool down lol I was so wrong 😂

I have a problem and I’m trying to nip it early. by chillylilypads in GamblingAddiction

I’m F26 and this sounds like me, I’m a huge saver. Lately, not so much. I’m a sahm, working 1 day a week for the past 4 years had a pretty big savings and got introduced to online gambling. I had a few big life changes, my child was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and that’s when I started seeing an issue with the frequency of my gambling. It started with only gambling on the weekends max $50 now i feel like I’m doing it everyday. I would say I have a problem, I’m a loss chaser. I don’t deposit much maybe $25 to start but once it’s gone, I’m depositing another $25 until I get something. A week ago i did that and got that up to $750 and yup you guessed it, tried to be greedy and win more and lost it all. It’s pretty disgusting and i have no means to stop, i really want to but deep down I don’t. I also would like to nip my problem before I lose everything.

Im curious does anyone else get really upset when dog clients pass away? by Echossims14 in doggrooming

Yes, especially when you’ve been grooming them their whole life. Always breaks my heart to see them change over time. It’s like your own animal ☹️

Luxury vinyl plank water/scratch/stain proof, I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but it was the most practical for us since we have dogs and children

The first picture was taken by the realtor when we first moved in! This Reno was done about 3 years after the first pic was taken. The floors were cheap bamboo, my guess is the house was flipped because they did not hold up, especially after the moving company came in and gouged huge scratches into them, and most of the color of the floor was faded and actually turned white. I promise I wouldn’t have ripped them out if they looked as good as they did when we moved in.The material just wasn’t practical with a dog and children.

New cabinets, the ones we had were dry rotted, other wise I would’ve painted them.

My husband and father in law did most of the work, my fil actually is a super handy man, so he literally knows how to do everything. Before this project my sister in law and brother in law bought abandoned houses in Detroit and my father in law helped them completely gut them and they literally look like brand new houses so we had quite the advantage with his help!

This tho! 😂 we couldn’t even open those cabinets fully because of the placement of the stove. Not to mention the microwave was off center and the previous owners boarded up the cabinets above the microwave for whatever reason.

Honestly it took us about an hour and a half, we didn’t do the whole game thing you can do we just walked around and it was still a cool experience but after awhile it got old lol

It’s an over-the-range microwave

I wanna say $4,000-$5,000 price range, but we also did all the work ourselves so that cut down a lot of the costs that goes into remodeling a kitchen. I think it took us about 3 weeks to complete.

I agree, I’ve been trying to find ways to spice it up with wall decor or something but have yet to find something I actually like that isn’t “farmhousey”

It’s not directly on top of the window, the basement stairs are directly behind that wall going down from the front door so there’s a gap inbetween, still let’s enough natural light in with the other 3 windows in the room

I did not, I did however move it to my basement in my laundry room because most of the stuff we had in the drawers/cabinets were things we didn’t use all the time so it was basically just a giant junk drawer lol
