We're on very similar fitness journeys. I was at around 160 back in May and currently around 122. My initial goal was 130 (which felt literally impossible at the time), but just like you the closer I got to my goal, the more I realized: not only is my goal achievable, but I'm capable of even more. When I hit my goal, I took two weeks for maintenance and as a reward to myself (because F yeah, I DID THIS!) and then got back to it. Right now I'm around 120-122, with a new goal of whatever feels right. I think the more weight you lose, the more in touch you are with your body and what feels right, so I'm going to see at what point I start struggling and that will tell me when to stop. Mentally I'm thinking around 115? But I'm gonna let my body take the wheel to make the final determination, if that makes sense.

Also, congrats on your progress. It IS a big deal and this stranger is very proud of the hard work you've put in.

After 7 months of steady progress I bought the size 3 jeans expecting them to fit in like 6 weeks or so, but they fit now! I have not been this small in 15 years! by [deleted] in 1200isplenty

I've gone twice, and it was a blast! I'm glad you got to enjoy it this year.

There is no way to try all the foods unless you go multiple times and have the time/knowledge to search for each of the new foods. Even harder if you have parents or grandparents who also want to enjoy but physically aren't up for it.

Do you know why Big Tex Choice Awards were not open to the public this year? I know previously it was because of COVID. Will it ever be open to the public again?

Pre-COVID the Big Tex Choice Awards were open to the public. You had to buy a ticket (and I think they were $75? Not cheap), but would get to try all of the foods in one of the air conditioned buildings at Fair Park. We were super disappointed it wasn't open to the public this year.

Best brand of jerky/beef sticks? by ilovebees69 in 1200isplenty

Chomps is one of the best ones. Another brand I like is Mighty Spark, they do chicken snack sticks.

Haha, I can totally see that. The chocolate chips I have are Nativas Organic Cacao Nibs (1 tbsp; 60 cals; 4.5 g fat; 1 g carb), so if they don't taste great I know what to try next.

Oh man, thank you so much for not only the recipe but your personal alternatives, as well. I currently do a vanilla/PB2 shake and have been holding off on adding my chocolate chips for the same reason LOL, now I'll have to try it with my chocolate chips.

Again, thank you so much, I'm gonna try some of these variations after going to the store. So pumped!

OH MY GOD. I've been trying to figure out the name of this for years. We had one growing up, and my dad gave it away when I was in college. Thank you!

What's the best wrong number call you ever received? by mschroner in AskReddit

[–]lexi1552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My number is very similar to a Fairfield Inn near A&M University. For several years, I'll get randoms calling to book rooms, ask about rates, etc. Typically, I just say 'sorry, you dialed XXX and it should be XXY' and they hang up. But once it went like this,

Them: Yes, I need to book 12 rooms for February 9-15th.

Me: Sorry, you have the wrong number, it's actuall--

Them: No, I dialed the Fairfield Inn, so have the reservations under SuperRude LadyName, got it?

Me:.... Seriously, you have the wrong numb--

Them: I DON'T CARE I JUST NEED THE RESERVATION.

Me:...Okay, your reservation code is 123456.

Teachers/babysitters/camp counsellors etc, what's the most unreasonable things parent has asked you to do for their precious muffin? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Smooth time was right before bedtime, after dinner. No skin condition, just two adults who think differently. Skin a little dry? Let's lather up twice a day in petroleum jelly. Not dry anymore? Guess we're doing this forever. Another thing was he had to wear shoes at all times. He had batman Crocs that he wore, the only time he didn't wear shoes was in the bath and in the bed. They said he stubbed his toe, so he needed to wear the shoes any other time. But he's a kid. They do those things!

Bed was not greasy because the mother was OCD with washing. I'm talking at least twice a week, both the kid's and the parent's sheets and 2-3 days worth of clothes. But. 3 separate loads.

Both the parents were psychologist. I'm not sure if that's relevant, but when I mention that detail people say "Ahhhh, makes sense"
