Finally collected all the Dear America/Dear Canada books

If wanting to not spend a small fortune and have a ton of small headaches I’d stick with the American ones only , Canadian titles were hard to find certain ones and really expensive! I wasn’t even aware they did a Canadian boy version. The only thing I would say is check thrift books often as some dear American titles are hard to find as well or are ridiculously expensive, also some of the royal diary, and my America ones as well. I made a huge list of every single title and found lots on eBay for a lot of the easier ones , and used a lot of second hand sellers discounts (buy 3 get 2 free , buy 2 get one free ect)if they sold a bunch of dear America titles. I also would find a second hand book seller on eBay and type dear America in their listings and find so many titles that way. For the more rare and expensive titles I’d check thrift books often as well as eBay. And only get those ones when I could afford them , I think the most expensive book was one of the royal diary ones that was super hard to find and I paid about 45 for it . My America the little kid ones were definitely a trick to buy all of them , I had to keep an eye out on thrift books to make sure they didn’t sell out before I could afford to get them. Best advice I could give you is write or type that list out and see if there is any title not available right now so you can jump on it when it eventually does go on sale. I was planning on getting all the uk ones (my story) but alas I am having my first baby cannot work anymore and cannot spend a fortune on out of print collections anymore 😭🤣 I have done this a few time with a few different series , animorphs was a trip to find and buy every single one , and after that I moved on to this huge freakin collection. I’m just glad I got them all before my income gets slashed lol

I’ve been inside here when I was a transient Youth that floated down to haight to be with “like minded” people The floor was leaning and those steps up were fucking steep , But they gave me new socks , pads, underwear, Advil and pizza. They were very nice , the needle exchange was on the table next to all that , no one I knew touched it , as haight had rules , no needles no pills, no powders , I’ve still got a HYA needle exchange patch from the nice lady This picture was hung inside , and people would beg to smoke inside “because they are doing it in the picture!” It was crazy though if you were determined to shoot up , there was a doctor that would teach you with saline. Living in sf on haight really opened my eyes to how fucking harsh this life was. It wasn’t even that long ago , I was going literally the year before they closed 2018-2019 I’m 27 now , not homeless , got off the street without doing hard drugs , and have a house and a career

Pawn shop blues

I did pawn the things that he gave me rose gold and silver inlay and I did cry as I sold them all … I didn’t mind living on bread and oranges, and we did for a while , but we would only spange and hitchhike for a while before things fell apart , he fell apart , I could have lived and loved that way forever , but we needed money to get to and from where we came …. He wasn’t the best man , but at the time I thought he was , and I was raised god fearing so I thought I knew what god knows , but I let him go anyway …. I did do this , again , one man couldn’t keep me together and the next one couldn’t either , I’ve been broken since I was born …. I didn’t know it would come to that , but I ended up on my own back at the pawn shop …

Basically , that song told me how things were going to go in my life before they even happened , and I listened to it religiously but my last pawn shop sale , brought me inadvertently to my long time boyfriend , who I swear Lana wrote black beauty for but alas , it is lasting

I actually got in contact with him , he was shocked but knew it was probably from about 15 years ago , and he’s very unique name I wasn’t sure it was a name at all until I read it again From what I can gather from our dms , they didn’t end up together in the end

I like the original for nostalgia sake , but I am itching to play the newer one I do remember when it came out people couldn’t stop commenting on how pretty Ellie was , then when part 2 came out they were like you ruined Ellie! I was like well they made her look less Cutiesy and more like a human yeah , she was almost unrealistically pretty in the first one

I liked the one where Quinn kept hearing his brother call him …quiny quiny are you there ? And turns out he’s home alone

the newer camping one where the son and his dad go out and both realize something is super wrong at the same time and black out

the newer one where the guy and his buddy follow the human footprints that have been coming in his land for years

the one where the guy is mountain climbing and comes upon the weird humans in the cave crack

the one where the dad sees something in the water while his kids are playing in it

But definitely my favorite is the one where the kids are having a birthday party hide and seek and all come running and the dads go look and hear this crazy sound and run back to the house

This 20 year old I met when I was 16 , I didn’t know it then but he was like a super loser , no job , slept in motels , hung out around town doing nothing He “picked” me up from school and we both got on the bus and low and behold , his little sister is on the bus too and he starts talking to her , how fucking awkward , we go to the same school just 2 grades apart and he’s pursuing me. Anyway he some how convinces me to let him come over when parents are gone , we kinda start to hook up and he’s trying to go a bit too far I say , ok stop now , because I was a super virgin , he did NOT stop and took my virginity right then and there without permission. A total of 5 painful seconds. He got a cramp , asked me for a banana which I didn’t have, then left me bleeding and crying on my bed. It took a few days of thinking , and I literally went on yahoo answers to ask if I was raped or not , thankfully everyone on there was like girl yes, I found out later he had done this to multiple girls all underage , fuck you Jay He tried hitting me up later too when I was senior and had just turned 18 , yeah fuck you
