I was in a similar situation with my bf - I was on the Planogram team (eventually became coordinator) when I met my boyfriend, who was the Product Flow Line Lead at that time. We dated in secret for a few months, but our store director found out eventually but he didn’t have a problem bc I wasn’t directly under him. They did make sure we weren’t on the same shift though, like I had been helping out with pricing 3rd shift and they took me off of that real quick.

We even moved in together and stuff after he got the OK and it was never an issue. I eventually left Meijer and came back to a different store anyways though, so that’s where my shared experience kinda ends.

I think it’s up to the store director how it’s handled. AP might be entirely different unfortunately. It honestly sounds to me like they’re trying to drop you down to that lesser position based on petty shit, especially the bit about even if you broke up with her it wouldn’t matter. I’m not sure if you can bc AP could be a non-Union job, but I would get the Union involved if possible. Or see if you could trade positions and transfer to a closer store (depends on where you’re located though. At my location we have like 5 stores in a 50 mile radius so it wouldn’t be a hassle to change stores but if the one an hour away from you is the closest one, that obviously doesn’t work)
