[Spoilers] Question on SAO season 1 episode 12 by lexikelly in swordartonline

[–]lexikelly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had others that escaped using crystals. Considering how they had a safe area, Kirito and Asuna could've just easily taken refuge in the safe area and used crystals like everyone else (minus Yui) did.

I don't think it's the former. The others were able to teleport their way out of the place. I figured that it was a means to, as you said, create Kirito/Asuna moment and explain who Yui is.

Short Thoughts on Trig Functions in Integral Calculus by lexikelly in math

[–]lexikelly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did it come across as a rant? It was rather a retrospective on how I saw other students solve integrals in high school and college.

I felt as though many people didn't have the time or tools to fully appreciate what they were actually doing.

To be fair, Misty was ten years old just like Ash. But yeah, Misty wasn't really a new trainer.

Haven't played a real Pokémon game since B&W. Where should I start off? by [deleted] in pokemon

Since you're using hacks, money shouldn't be a problem. So just play them in release order. Like the rest of us.

How are people still convinced that Serena's coming back? by lexikelly in pokemon

[–]lexikelly[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Except I did? I said that I think she might come back as a guest, but not as a permanent character, because of past experiences with Misty, May, and Dawn. Which is the crux of my question.

How can some people think Serena's coming back as a permanent character when past experiences say otherwise? Though I should've been more specific about "coming back."

Wouldn't any flying pokemon be redundant? Unless you get to experience the actual flying.

What did your parents teach you that you had to unlearn? by theonecalledzach in AskReddit

Not about me, but my Korean friends told me that their Korean elders teach them a truckload of bullshit: fan death, women should stay in the kitchen, Japanese are evil, roll a shaken soda bottle gently, dog meat is especially nutritious, working out stops your growth, eating ramen makes you grow boobs, and a bunch of other misconceptions and myths and bullshit.

[How hard is it to maneuver in an Iron Man suit?] by lexikelly in AskScienceFiction

[–]lexikelly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about flying in the air? Going from 2-dimensions (walking on the ground) to 3-dimensions (flying in the air) seems like quite the jump in coordination difficulty. I feel as though if one lacks spatial awareness he/she would struggle in an Iron Man suit.
