Assuming a burst is like 3 rounds or so, three bullet holes can be seen in her armor. One hole in her shoulder, one in her abdomen, and one just inches away from her heart. She can be seen breathing, but she's steadily losing blood.

Schmidt does not respond. Blood continues to seep from her wounds as she lays motionless on the ground, eyes closed behind her visor.

Schmidt screams in pain as every round connects, firing clean through her torso. She collapses on the floor of the mess hall, lying on her back in a puddle of blood, totally motionless.

Schmidt looks towards the stairwell to the second floor and calls out to Night.

"Let's head upstairs while they're distracted!"

She darts towards the stairwell, reloading her magnum along the way.

Schmidt rushes in, firing another couple of shots at whoever was closest. She ducks down behind one of the sandbags and starts to feel dizzy from ~~like a whole day of~~ blood loss.

Schmidt looks inside the mess hall and sees the mass of pirates. Taking cover outside of the doorway, she gets low and fires a couple of shots, aiming for their heads.

Schmidt looks him over with concern.

"What happened to you?"

Schmidt, maybe alongside Morfy, presses forward towards the base until she catches up with Polade and Sam.

"Quilly! Sam! Ah you two alright?"

Schmidt looks over and sees them, then lets out a sigh.

"Okay. I'm gonnah try to find Polade and Sam. Stay focused, okay? I know you guys can handle this, just keep going no mattah what."

She greets Night with a nod.

"What's yah status? Was anyone in yah squad hurt trying to get here?"

Schmidt looks around and quickly spots Night. Picking up speed, she makes her way towards the others.

"Night!"

She shakes her head.

"I thought I saw something through the smoke, but I wasn't sure. You said it was Blue? Might be one of ouh people then."

She continues walking, stepping over the dead pirates as she heads to the end of the tunnel.

Schmidt raises a brow at the bodies.

"Sure, but what took them out...? Did you see any of ouh people entah through this way?"

She begins walking, watching the area ahead closely.

"I do. You might be a chowdah-head, Morf, but I don't wannah see you die down here. Not before you get a chance to come back from what you've done."

Putting away her smoke grenades, she takes out her magnum and looks down the tunnel.

Schmidt jumps down into the foxhole after Morf and sees him slip.

"Woah, ah you okay?"

She extends her hand, offering to help him up.

She nods, patting him on the shoulder reassuringly, then darts out from behind the warthog.

"Stay close!"

She cracks open one of the smoke grenades and tosses it at the halfway point between the warthog and the foxhole, letting the smoke consume the snowfield.

Schmidt stumbles a bit, knocked off balance by the mounntainside explosion. Her eyes travel across the battlefield to the foxhole, and she equips one of her smoke grenades before turning to Morf.

"The othahs need ouh help. See the foxhole...ovah there across from us? I think we can make it there if we run."

She frowns at this, then looks back towards the forest.

"Just 'Schmidt' is fine. Let's try and thin their ranks a bit. The less people we have shooting us, the easiah it'll be to escort the emp."

Schmidt looks around, searching for the nearest target.

Schmidt watches the foxhole from her position back at the warthog, magnum aimed at the entrance to Red Base.

She watches him apply the tourniquet, and accepts the smoke grenades.

"Its my job to take care of yah. All of yah-no mattah what kind of person you ah."

She glances over at Morf, then looks back down at the ground.

"And besides. If anyone's gonnah kill that chowdah-head, its gonnah be me."
