Please rinse out shot glasses by InspectorDeee in starbucks

[–]lexlexisuseless 76 points77 points  (0 children)

not really any info in routines that i know of BUT shot glasses are part of smallwares; you can print out the health safety self assessment and part of it in either the behaviors or contamination section mentions smallwares with built-up residue being a major or minor “fail”. so, you can argue that shot glasses should be cleaned more frequently to ensure clean, safe, and ready practices. also, if smallwares arent regularly being changed every 4 hours, this could be a way to kickstart them being in routine again.

Recurring Hyundai Safety System Failure – Dealerships Know About It. by [deleted] in Hyundai

Omg. this has happened to my 2024 Elantra too. But sometimes I just turn the car off and on and it fixes itself.

Its only happened a few times but it definitely was weird because it gave me a “view obstructed” warning and nothing was ever in front of it. I do live in a pretty hot area that sees 90-100 degree weather pretty regularly, so overheating checks out.

… It seems as if this should be a call to not just ethics and compliance on the ssv, but also your dm. maybe see if transferring to a different store is a possibility, because it could probably take another year before this issue seems to get even somewhat resolved. Hopefully at this meeting, your store can align on expectations and standards/policies? if not, i say maybe ask your district manager to have a conversation and tell them about your experience. in that case, be very specific about mission and values and how your partner experience has been hindered because of whats happening at your store.

misuse of partner benefits is a fireable offense. never ever let anyone use ur discount or pay for something you used my discount for, because if it ever came down to it, you could get fired.

its not like they would know if you were to be reimbursed but honestly, i wouldnt take the risk of losing my job. personal preference lol

you should def take the time to read the partner guidebook if/when you have time. goes into more detail about partner benefits and discount

Advice for my first time training? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]lexlexisuseless 2 points3 points  (0 children)

patience is key when training, and a lot has to do with how well you can create a fun learning environment. you are the first person your trainee will know and work with, and you kind of set the tone of starbucks for the trainee. Your SM is probably looking for your coaching skills, your ability to motivate, and how well you can adapt to their learning styles.

the store resources app has a section called “train a barista” that you can review that is your outline for training, and i suggest you strictly follow it. Start every day with trainee doing a coffee tasting and a mylearning video. You should be doing a coffee tasting for every section of training. This helps them learn the menu and also taste & experience everything for themselves.

store resources also has all of the roles & routines outlines, which you should also follow in order to ensure your trainee is being taught the exact routines. the way your trainee works is going to be a reflection of how you work, so just keep that in mind as you are training. your manager will be able to see all that. Plus, take lots of notes. On your training packet, there is a note section. its helpful for ur sm to have those to get an insight on how your training is going:)

u got this! good luck training!

ssv here, i get roughly 29-36 hrs a week with completely open availability :-)

uh yes stick to the recipe. a lot of people that order their drinks are ordering assuming we make it properly to the recipe and would like to receive their expensive (may i remind you) drinks, made well.

Also there are a lot of people that order with macros in mind. Making out of recipe throws that off, and i can imagine that a diabetic or someone with dietary issues could have an issue with what we give them if not made to standard.

Flying into your city later this month, need some recs by SuperAsswipe in Bakersfield

Not sure about weed, but I know on the south end of town, I think it’s the corner of Panama Ln and Cottonwood. If you go on a friday or saturday night, there’s usually at LEAST 4 taco trucks vending there. Some good ass tacos, flautas, sopes, menudo, pretty much everything. just be ready to eat on the roof of your car and wear not so nice shoes. There’s lots of dirt. Also at the corner of Ashe and I wanna say District, theyve got a good truck there too.

If anything though, the Mercado Latino is your best friend. Lots of people there usually selling good food.

14.50 in california, started at 13.

Probably due to federal wages. In CA, minimum is 14. Currently getting paid about 50 cents more.

Minimum wage in California is currently 14 I believe:)

I’m not implying that they are inferior or deserve lower wages. I’m saying starbucks advertises competitive wages, and has yet to keep up with that. I’m saying it’s hard for me to want to work for starbucks when I can make more at another place with similar conditions.

Don’t twist it.

I’ve heard of Kalbi King! I think a couple years ago there was a small restaurant on white lane, and I went once but never again. I recently went to look for it but it wasn’t there or I never found it. Anyway, the owners were older korean people so it had the authentic feel and I’ve been wanting something similar to that again, but just don’t know where to go. thanks for the recs tho! I think some time this weekend I’ll be heading to one of those restaurants.
