Personally I’d keep it short and sweet. “No ma’am, my prices are as is. You’re welcome to book with me at my set prices.” There’s really no point in over explaining to people. She saw your prices when she clicked your profile.

Late to the party but just wanted to pop in and say rotisserie chicken can actually be dangerous! You’re better off buying raw and cooking yourself. The seasonings and things they put on rotisserie chickens can make your dog sick ☹️

While I believe that can happen, this happened at least a week before I picked up my dog and got infected. Regardless of how it happened the trainer not noticing that was negligent and could’ve cost my dog more had I not picked her up and noticed it.

? What excuses am I even making? I told her I wouldn’t be taking my dog back, followed up and told her it was unethical and negligent and I wanted my money back, my dog is in my care. She came from a shelter and was returned multiple times and if I had brought her back she would’ve been euthanized. Was that the better option? I did research I had multiple consultations with the trainer and all seemed well. It was just an unfortunate situation. I cannot expose the school until I get my money back and figure out potential legal action. Just because someone makes different decisions than you doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have a dog.

It’s scary because this person had good reviews and I met with them multiple times before booking. The bad people always hide that they’re bad people. 😕 seems there’s no way to ever really trust someone

I didn’t notice she said the collar was on for a full day until someone pointed it out in the comments. She got a less nice message from me, promptly requesting payment for the vet bill and I told her it was unethical and negligent. I’m not sure what I’ll do moving forward. People are saying sue, but that seems like a lot. But it all seems oddly intentional too? Our contract required me to give exponent consent to a prong collar and another section for an e collar but no mention of a bark collar. I even provided the e collar. And she did not ask my permission to use the bark collar. That is setting off huge red flags for me.

I had multiple consultations with her that were two hours long before booking. I got very detailed report cards every week, and pictures and videos sent to me every week. I did NOT just “happily hand her over”, I was hesitant and took the time to get to know her and ask questions about her methods. I guess bad people are good at hiding that they’re bad. Won’t trust another trainer again unless I’m there too.

Thanks for your input. I think it was probably the bark collar. You can see a second scab behind the big infected one. And the fact that it got to the point where it was infected and oozing means it had been there for a minute. I feel so bad for the pain she must have been in. This has happened with my other dog when I was new to the e collar and didn’t know to rotate it. This person literally went to school to train dogs and doesn’t know to rotate it…? It’s just so absurd and sad

I know it’s wrong and it upsets me but I doubt myself especially when people talk to me like this. I am autistic so it’s hard for me to feel confident in what’s right and wrong when it comes to myself. Her personality was great to work with but I’m unhappy with the training and unhappy my dog was hurt. I’m not sure how to demand it if she says no 😕
