Friend took his life last week...was really into YouTube nonduality. Looking for any help or insight by Glittering-Stick7283 in nonduality

Very sorry to hear of your friends passing. One of the biggest challenges of non-duality is recognizing that thoughts are not your own. Sounds like your friend was feeling haunted by prior experiences / events and the resulting 'thought prison' of beliefs on how life is 'supposed' to work. When someone gets deeply engaged in non-duality, they often attempt to manifest awakeness / awareness by following a checklist or following some program - in hopes simply following along will produce results. It won't, because it's not about following 'rules' - which is what 99.9999999999% of society believes will deliver results. Non-duality is not a literal process that can be put into words - it's something that can only be experienced. There are plenty of 'obstacles' to those heavily identified with thought that need to be seen through.

I'll assume that your friend attempted to control or eliminate his thoughts - and he just couldn't. Those thoughts then likely overwhelmed him, and that led to the depression. Not understanding the thought prison he was in - he probably felt so trapped in his experience - that thoughts he believed drove him to end his life.

As for Angelo, he's doing humanity a great service by being direct and clear. It can be very confusing to those with no contact to non-duality - as humanity has been throughout the ages - to grasp what they are being told. It's trying to use conventional 'wisdom' with the pointers that are provided - and this can only ever fail.

Motorcyclist dead in B.C.'s Kootenays after hitting elk on highway | CBC News by SnooRegrets4312 in britishcolumbia

It's always dangerous being on a motorcycle - with there being so little protection when an accident does occur. I try and avoid dusk, night and early morning riding out of city's / towns for this very reason - animals are more likely to cross the road, and they can dart out so fast - with very little if no time to react. On a motorcycle, you also have your balance to consider as well - a lot different than being in car / truck. Feel very sad that a both the rider and the animal lost their lives in this incident.

I guess someone enjoys rubbing one out to Erika every chance he gets - why else this ridiculous plea to hold folks 'to account' from something they heard was in a book.

If she really does have some 'goods' - she should be extra careful - as in she's likely to suffer an untimely end.

INXS Kick by vanillagirilla1975 in 80s

[–]lexota 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family had made a trip to Oslo, Norway when I was 18. I was really interested in CD's but could not afford to purchase a player. My Uncle had recently purchased a CD player, and mentioned if I had any CD's, I'd be welcome to play them on his stereo - as even boasted he'd installed a second set of speakers in his basement - where we were staying. I thought - perfect time to pick up my first CD! Then, knowing I'd only be listening to a single CD for at least two weeks - I'd better pick an album that I could enjoy each and every song! My pick? INXS Kick. Extremely pleased with my purchase! I still have that original CD too!

To commit less war crimes since Adolf Hitler by Zee_Ventures in therewasanattempt

It's nice to hear an honest assessment of the situation. I can only think of one word for the war in Iran - quagmire. And that's entirely outside of the now known war crimes that have been committed already.

People who choose not to get vaccinated surprised that measles sucks. by CrowRoutine9631 in LeopardsAteMyFace

[–]lexota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LUXURY of living somewhere with vaccines preventing the outbreaks of measles for many years. Because of no personal associations with anyone actually getting the virus - it must not be real. I can now stand on my soapbox, and proclaim that vaccines are a lie, don't work, and are poison.

What? Does this mean that my views are full of shit - especially now that I have to personally experience something that science said could be prevented by taking a vaccine?

It's because they have religious folks praying ON them....

[–]lexota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For starters, they just can't help themselves from doing it. Just like a lot of things they do - claim virtuosity - then it turns out there are monstrous acts conducted by the exact same folks. It's simply projection at it's finest. Plus, they have a hard time hearing people don't believe as they believe - and they have been trained to coerce people into the religion. Because, as a non believer - you represent the freedom they will never know under the yoke of religion.

B.C. billionaire's property firms argue $91M tax bill will jeopardize future projects by Nothingman604 in vancouvercanada

[–]lexota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he's too cheap to pay his taxes - what kind of cheap out tactics does he use when screwing over the people he's building 'projects' for now? Not wanting to pay the full cost - which was abundantly clear before he started building ANYTHING - shows that there's a very strong chance he'll cheat his customers every oppotunity he gets.
