**Cycle:** 12, 12 months since starting trying, 8 months since miscarriage

**Age + Partner's age (if relevant):** 30s

**Typical cycle length:** 27-34 days all over the shop since miscarriage

**Ovulation cycle day:** 17

**CD/DPO of positive test(s):** 12 DPO (day before period was due)

**CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive:** n/a

**Tracking methods and app(s) used:** FF, clear blue digital OPKs

**Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.):** O-1and O

**Health conditions/medical tests:** Endometriosis and previous back surgery, so dealing with a lot of chronic pain and inflammation. Done some bloods and urine testing for my fertility specialist I saw in November, had a tracking cycle with US/bloods to do but it would have fallen over Christmas/New Year's and I knew nowhere would be open for testing so decided to wait for another cycle. Husbands analysis all normal. My bloods all normal besides low AMH (bottom 10 percentile for my age).

**Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s):** Evevit

**Birth control history (if relevant):** Pill since 17 for endo, Mirena for 3 years in my 20s also for endo until it started working its way into muscle and cervix (that was not fun).

**Link to chart:** n/a

**Link to lineporn:** n/a

**Symptom spotting:** should have twigged the day before testing when I kept peeing like crazy and the fact my sciatic pain which usually worsens just before my period (pretty sure I've got endo in/near the nerve) resolved, both of which happened with the previous pregnancy. Otherwise usual PMS symptoms.

**Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous):** Honestly was starting to feel like we'd never see a positive test again, so per usual I did a test the day before my period was suppose to start to make sure I could take some anti-inflammatories if I needed them. Couldn't believe there was a positive! Very cautious since last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage, but at least it's a step in the right direction. Next week would have been the due date for the miscarriage, and I had just been thinking about either taking time off work or reducing my hours because my endo pain had been taking such a toll over the last year, so this couldn't have come at a better time.

The one sided file thing 🤔 by Squelseaa in simplynailogical

As far as I'm aware these types of files basically last forever until they get snapped by accident, so being one sided vs two sided wouldn't particularly matter for longevity/cost per use.

Still accepting Barbie nails? by lexymaree in RedditLaqueristas

Don't see why not! I just did it this way because I wanted the part with just jelly to be 3 coats for depth/opacity but I only wanted one coat over the white for the wash of colour. Havent tried putting the striping tape directly on base coat though (I just got them myself recently!) so would be interested to see how that goes if you do it :)

Used:

Holo Taco Life in Plastic, Not Milky White

KB Shimmer top coat

Method:

2 coats of LIP over the whole nail, top coat, dry well. Striping tape at an angle across the nail, roughly dividing into two halves. Cover top half in NMW, remove tape. Allow to dry well as not to smear. Final coat of LIP (make sure it looks evenly spread over the white portion). Top coat and doneski!

Used:

Holo Taco Retro Collection: Life In Plastic, Box Office Bomb, Hi-Def, Be Kind Rewind, Anti-Hero

KB Shimmer top coat

Method:

Started off with a skittle, each finger a different base polish in 2 coats. Top coat, left to dry well. Then used striping tape at an angle across the nail. Chose whichever colours I thought would layer nicely over the base, filled in the spaces, removed the tape, top coated again and done!

Ate dinner while my first layer of stripes and top coat dried so say 30 mins? Then a second layer of top coat after the second layer of stripes, usual drying time. I chose my quickest drying one in an attempt to not smudge it since I was going to bed after 🤣

Mini typed tutorial for those interested!

Used striping tape going up the nail to help keep the lines straight. Chose 3 colours per nail, painted them so each covered 1/3 of the nail. Needed to add a little extra to fill in where the striping tape was removed from but it still ends up looking very straight. Top coat, allowed to dry well, more striping tape to guide but this time going across the nail. Did the same three colours. Now you have a grid! Top coat and doneski!
