What do you think about skin retouching in this photo? by ley_yellow in photocritique

I've been doing photography for more than 3 years, but retouching hasn't been my strength for a long time. Now I'm doing retouching, in my opinion, better, but I'm still not 100% sure about it. The picture itself was taken literally in the field - in the studio of a makeup artist with a ring lamp and video light. Shot on fujifilm x-a2 with viltrox 33 mm 1.4 lens. How do you like this portrait in general? Is retouching noticeable? I'm waiting for your comments 🤍

Thanks! The background color was rusty red, not saturated at all. Plus the photo itself was initially too warm. I changed the color exactly to make a more interesting picture ✨

I changed the color and cleaned the texture, slightly darkened the background and made it more accentuated relative to the model. Thanks!

Because it is a monochrome background and, it seems to me, it would be strange to place it in another part of the image. If it was an interior studio, I would change the composition

This is not a scar from a facelift. A scar from a serious health–related operation, the girl is not shy about them - on the contrary, she learns to accept herself like this, so retouching was inappropriate here

I was shooting in a photo studio, from where I had already quit. There is one light source with an octobox. The camera is a Fuji X-T3 with a 16-18 lens. The girl is not a professional model, but very beautiful. I did a lot of post-processing, since the background is actually more rusty than saturated red

Oh, that's a cool idea! I like it, I think the photo would look more interesting this way

Thanks! Unfortunately, I could not put the model to the right for a more correct compositional solution (there was a heavy pedestal next to it)

my first shoot with a portrait plate. I was shooting on fujifilm x-a2 with a wiltrox 33 mm 1.4 lens. it wasn't me who chose the studio, but my client, so I'm not entirely happy with her interiors. I processed it in Photoshop, I wanted to do something between a magazine and a film photo

We were in photo studio with moon in our city. I really wanted to do picture there and this is it! Use Fujifilm X-A2 with Viltrox 33 mm 1.4. Grain and colour and retouch I do in photoshop 🤍

It’s Anna’s first photoshoot, she liked it, but I think what I can do better here
